It's my favorite strain of all time, although there are a few long hazes I have a crush on....I was trying to describe the high to Virginharvester and we were laughing at what I told him about it now 18 months later and what I said 18 months earlier...stoners..I only remember the big earthy smell with no skunk in it, just funky composting earth and a wee sweetness.I had some big fat plants that I never forgot and they were all as potent as could be.To top it off all my friends out east at the time, used to my Sour D and Chems, I didn't think that they would appreciate it but it was an all around favorite, especially, and this is funny with all the Moms at the kids play groups, they'd sit around rolling joints while the kids killed eachother in the yard. The Moms said it was more like a beautifull garden herb compared to the regular skunky herb the dads take from me.We just called it the Vietnam Black to make it easy and then some friends didn't get any because they wanted chems and then everybody was getting mad at me for forgetting them.I'm real picky about my weed and I would never do a strain twice unless it was that good.My pics are in this forum around page 3 or something under a guest name, when I was MUCHA LUCHA.All I remember was a great high and real vigorous fun to grow plants, unlike any I'd come across in 22yrs of growing.Very unique and as exotic as it sounds, hell I could go on forever...Soon I'll have a whole bunch and I can't wait....:joint::joint: It's page 4 called Orient Express day 65, just for fun, I just looked through it , it was like looking through an old family album...

Well I ended up with 1 Congo Female and 6 female OE.These were all in a room with about 40 seedlings and the total ratio was about 55% female, so as a group that's pretty good but I was hoping for some more Congo but I really wanted a male to cross with my ECSD cut after I saw how vigorous they were.Needless to say I'm over-the-top happy about my 6 OE females. They will all have at least 10 gallons of soil to completely explode in, so watch out my OE are going to be off the chain as they say.My Grapevine test seeds also had only one female .The rest of the plants are my own crosses and I'll leave those to the imaginations of pot lovers.I just love to grow, I'll be damned if anything apart from women interested me more in this life, my kids of course are#1 but that goes without saying. All the OE are short, stocky and sticky, sweet smelling.I'm going to take them to the limit. What do you think about a nice stocky Congo male crossed with the original ECSD cut? 1000 seeds could set me up for life.I saved an OE male too.The Congo male will also pollinate Rez' ChemDD, Killing Fields, HTC Skunk IBL and MNS SSH.Nothing like a fridge full of vigorous seeds...My best to all...Chaco, aka, Lilly456.:joint::joint:

Hello Lilly,

Your passion and love for growing are inspiring! Sorry to hear about the lonely congo female, it's always good to experience different females for a better overview of the hybrid, fortunatly you have had an overall above average female ratio and got a few stocky orient express.

Good luck with your home breeding projects and enjoy summer time!

Ah, yes such are the facts of life but I think when you put so many seedilings together they communicate and you always have more females by a hair...I just pollinated the ECSD with Congo pollen. The Congo started popping open flowers overnight so I took some pollen laid it on the ECSD and put it outside in case I need more, I figure she's so far into flower she'll have new pollen for a few in case I have some others I need to impregnate...I'm quite sure that having only 1 Congo female had nothing to do with the stock.I bet if I ran the seedlings by themselves it would have been different, but I do have 6 female OE and one that popped some male pre-flowers then switched to female, I've seen chemdog crosses do this and turn out female for almost 12+ runs with no troubles with male flowers, so I figure I have 7 OE females, in a week ther's been no male flowers but many, many female ones.My best to all....:joint::joint:

Good day Lilly,

I haven't experienced straight ECSD clone but i have tasted a few good diesel variants, diesel taste is real nice, like sweet non acid orange or tangerine. High is pretty sativa and interesting for its diverse poly hybrid dutch heritage, it remember me good american sativas but breed for modern concepts, i hope you find interesting offspring crossing her with Congo.

Another nice cross would be a powerful and energetic Congo female, pollinated by one/or different compact and fast flowering Orient Express males.

Best wishes for flowering time!

Well I can say that the Congo female I have is a big, vigorous plant.I still have a male OE or 2 around so I'll give it a shot. After being put into flower at 16" it is now about 4ft high, that's some growth....it was the most vigorous seedling in my garden and I have some cuts, plus more OE seeds.I've always made my own seeds until I found the ueses of a computer about 3 yrs ago, but the potency ran out of my Hashplants from the Seedbank circa 87' even though I crossed them with some super vigorous and potent seds I found in a giant bale in southern New Mexico.I took that hybrid wich did very well but was too big and backcrossed it to my 45 day HP cut and then inbred for the rest of 10 years.I had the original HP cut wich was excellent, but we're always looking for something more, eh? Then I had the cut outside when I went away on a short trip during the summer to take a break from growing, it wasn't so acceptable back in the 90's as it is now and a real nice friend of mine urinated on it daily while I was gone and well that was that...jealousy and money.I came from a real poor area and not many people had the balls to grow so much and if they did it was all bagseed and was not so great...That's my story, it's been a long of my growing cannabis, since I was 17 yrs old, now I' practically an old man, who had better go tend his garden instead of blabbing...:joint::joint: All my best...:joint:

Congo x ECSD sounds like a killer cross.

I can sympathize with your story, I've had similar things happen. I've been growing for nearly two decades and It's amazing what some people will do for money(jealousy, greed etc...).

Good luck with your breeding projects.

Pollinated a couple OE with Congo pollen this morning and from the look of the ECSD pistils the pollen made its way to the flower.Seeds Galore..Can't beat it...:joint::joint:
