But what do you think of an Suzuki SV650 ?

I really like these bikes.

The Sv 650 and Bandit by Suzuki are very good cheap bikes and I think they make them both bigger now if wanted..

Anyway I say don't play around and go get yourself a Ducati Monster (just not the small1) I have a 800 from 1999. I would love the new 996 monster. but 12 to 15G's is out of my price for now..

I also would look at the Triumph and BMW as said.

That Suzuki 650 loooks pretty cool, but not exactly what I'm looking for. I saw the ducati monster, I really like the stylings, but the price and power are out of my range. as far as the triumph goes, it is very much what I'm looking for.

Newer version of a vintage Russian-made, war-era, BMW copy.

Can be had with single rear wheel drive, or dual rear wheel drive on a side-car model.

Relatively simple, cheaper parts. Lower sticker price than American-made. Comes in classic military green, red, and I don't know what else. **Hammer and sickle decals are extra..;^>)

I really do think you'll be happy with the Triumph. It's not the most powerful ride out there, but it does have style and is more than capable.

man..I do motorcycle research all the time.

I dont have one now, but my needs are def. offroad, but capeable of street and hwy travel.

...not many fit this bill

BUT def. check these out ...they are slightly older bikes, but not vintage by any means...and very good choices.
