Sugar Water Flush

One of my buddies said that using sugar water instead of regular water to flush plants in creases yield and improves taste... any truth to this? I usually doubt advice from him

im sure it will also increase the chances of any number of pests being attracted to the plants too... im no expert, but it doesnt sound like a good idea

I agree with Northern.... It's not going to increase yields... probably won't have any affect... at least not perceived to the eye..... might inadvertently feed some micro-organisms, that might, help your plants??? who knows??
Creeptic is on the right track.... especially if you're doin' hydro.... sugar = nasties.... I won't use molasses in hydro either..... started smelling really funky... like, not healthy funky....

What about botanicare sweet it is said to have alot of sugar in it and the count is 0-0-0 and it said it will sweeten up your buds. There is other products that do the same, like
carbo load,carbo max,karbo boost,sweet floralicious bloom

I have ran through a gallon of sweet.... compared to un-sweetened plants... no difference noticed.... I can't complain as the gallon was complimentary (dro shop passed it to me) also got some 'sweet suckers' they were tasty, but the buds were no more tasty than the buds without the sweet.... IMO

I've done loads of molasses outdoors in soil... didn't really notice a difference... did some cane sugar in some hydro.... never again... after about a day I started to notice a really rank smell and the rez was nasty.... I'll amend my rez with a little molasses that is all.... not really expecting any drastic improvements but all that potassium is nice.....

I've had hydro plants that didn't smell much at all, but then when I ran sweet through it, they began smelling the very next day. just my experience.

A flush should be pure water, distilled with no additives. Sugar and molasses are helpful because they feed the beneficial microbes and fungi which in turn help your plant. Feed the soil, feed the plant.

seems like this thread has not been active in some time--just wondering if using sugar water to flush will adversely affect the end bud. any input is appreciated.

If in hydro...i use a little sweet or Floranector. As like 5-8 mls per gallon for 24-48 hrs. Then straight water.
The sugar actually tricks the plant into thinking there is nutes in there! because of this you will flush your plants faster(done side by sides).
If in soil just use water to flush the extra sugar in there will actually ruin the taste.
Sugar is good though out the flower process but cut it when you start to flush. An if using molasses cut it out earlier.
