Hi there. just as the title reads - i was hoping to compile a list of varieties that after smoking will leave you in an improved mood/optimistic headspace...
ive started to realize that i am going to have to breed my own crosses as i find most of the stuff i smoke these days doesnt leave me in a good place psychologically speaking.
so basically i need to be breeding for effect or affect? (I will google that later.)
we've gotten to a place with breeding where the buds are just so so beautiful. but a lot of it just doesnt make me feel Better.
so i think im finally to the point where i need to break off from the herd and focus only on my own head. Im sure there are others doing the same thing. hopefully. and i hope some of you will chime in and join me.
bag appeal is awesome. dont get me wrong. but i need optimism from my smoke in this world.
and then we light the shit on fire? bye bye bag appeal....

I no longer have grow pics of those two strains but you can find them in the ace threads. I did just harvest a nice sativa called zacatecas tribute, with a very positive buzz

If you're willing to grow landrace, Ethiopian and Manipuri were both like that, although not strong, very pleasant.

I also like the Honduras/Panama. Most recently I've had Zamaldelica x Kali China which is very feelgood high and much earlier flowering. I suspect any of the crosses with Kali China would work.

Manipuri was from The Real Seed Company. Tbh if you are indoors the pheno I had took longer than forever, but would be perfect outdoors in the right climate.

I haven't grown the straight Zamaldelica so can't comment, but the cross with Kali China was great. Another one might be ACE Thai Chi, which dubi has said is his favourite, but out of stock at present afaik. I bet it's not far off restocking though as it seems to be popular.

Good luck, it's a worthy search. So many modern varieties look great but the effects can be like being hit in the hammer a lot of the time (for me anyway). Too much emphasis on THC content at the expense of the high imo.

If you're referring to the ACE Ethiopian it's a very underrated strain.
