Strains from Vietnam or Cambodia

Those look beautiful zam, good work. I find the Zamal x Neville's Haze I have is very reminiscent of Thai in it's bud formation, the structuire is very different but the buds are like a Thai in the way they are structured. The Parvati looks to have added quite a lot of bud formation to that cross.

Green Hornet sells a pure Vietnamese.

Thanks bh, I looked at a map and La Réunion is quite a bit closer to mainland africa than S.E. Asia however S.E. Asia has exported so much herb over the years I'm certain some has ended up on La Réunion and incorporated into the breeding stock as well as southern asian.

I have visited, smoked and obtained seeds from Vietnam and Cambodia.
While I was in Saigon I smoked about an ounce of electric green weed from my friend "Johnny the Savage". I remember smoking joint after joint, thinking at first it wasn't so strong since I could smoke so much. I felt it was a mind stimulating high, not much in the body. But the whole time I was there I couldn't sleep. Because Saigon is such a fast, crazy, city that I just wanted to smoke so I could stay mellow, and then you smoke 10 joints and it won't let you sleep.

I smoked lots while I was in Cambodia. All the Cambodian I smoked was earthy brown and long budded. I thought the herb there was some of the best I found in South East Asia. In Cambodia I could sleep, and even though I still smoked joint after joint, Cambodian weed did mellow me, and at some point the little bell would go off inside of me that said "Don't smoke anymore, your high enough".

The growth patterns are completely different too. The Cambodian grows in a Christmas tree structure where the Vietnamese grows kind of like a snakes skeleton. a long main stem with short node distance and many rib cage like short lateral branches. Both are pure sativa and long flowering.

Great thread. I am chiming in a bit late here as I have just stumbled across this thread.

Going back the red sap topic. I am currently growing a few SE Asian strains. My one pheno oozed some purlply-red juice when I topped it.

I got the seeds from a bag of brick weed in bangkok. However I can not say that these are "thai" because a lot of the brick comes in from burma laos and cambodia.

Anyways you can follow my grow, search for thailand outdoor. These plants are still young, roughly 8 weeks from popping through the dirt!

The Hmong are one of the most populous “hill-tribe” groups across Southeast Asia and are found in large numbers in northern Vietnam, northern Laos and in various provinces of north Thailand.

Hmong Villages in Chiang Mai

The most famous Hmong village in Chiang Mai is ‘Doi Pui’ located near Doi Suthep temple. This area has been widely promoted by tourism authorities, and so this village is quite touristic and there’s little to see in the way of real village life. Although the village mostly consists of souvenir stalls, these are an important source of income for villagers, therefore buying souvenirs from them, ensures they benefit directly from your visit. At the top of the village there’s a small museum showcasing various artefacts and information about the different hill tribe groups. There’s also a small manicured garden at the front, where you can rent traditional Hmong costumes to wear for a just-for-fun photo shoot. The entrance fee to Doi Pui village is 50THB per person.

The Hmong can also be found at ‘Baan Tong Luang’ Eco village , which is a demonstration village where you can see a variety of tribes (such as the Long neck, Palong and Karen).

The Hmong are an ethnic group of people with specific language and culture. The Hmong originally came from China with over 4,000 years of history. Some Hmong left China to Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Burma beginning in the early 1800's as a result of land expansion by the Chinese government.

some recent footage
wouldn't go as far as calling that 10 second snipped of ditch weed "footage" of landraces^^
especially not with a guy thinking that those pollensacks will be turning into bud, even taking stuff off the wrong species first...

also some Hmong experts in here :ROFLMAO:

the thread poster is advised to just obtain Orient Express by ACE and grow that for the biker rally.
Easy to grow and everyone will love it

Liking the bands/songs some of you guys are posting. Is there any evidence that sativa's are associated with good taste I wonder? Guilt by association?
Whats a good sativa leaning variety with a nice mix of euphoria/high/and good body that doesn't harvest too long? All suggestions gratefully contemplated.
