Strains from Vietnam or Cambodia

Just curious, does any1 know of any strains from Vietnam or Cambodia? I'm interested in all of them but particullary the ones that I can obtain seeds of.

I will be riding my motorcycle to Rolling Thunder (motorcycle rally in DC for POW/MIA's) this spring & I want to have a stash of Nam herb to take with me to make it a truly "spiritual" experience.

Also, if u've personally tried any of these strains...gimme ur thoughts on them.

drchronic.com has spice brothers...they have some vietnamese cross i think...stonehedge from Sag is cambodian...some guy has a similar thread- on Paradise's sheherazade...i think that it's afghan x cambodian sativa...

Some Vietnamese from a plant cloned since the end of the war was some of the most
potent Cannabis I have ever had the priviledge to see. When you cloned it this ruby
red sap oozed from the stem.....never seen anything like it. It could have been from
the Mountegnard (sp?) people, because it didn't look like that "Dalat" strain that you
see in OG and Weed World magazine.....i hope someone is preserving this strain over
there.....

ya i think Stonehedge from Sagarmatha Seeds is Cambodian hlcn.......Reeferman has
a fantastic Burmese pure as well as Burmese hybrids, which is kinda close to Viet and Cambodia......

Ace Seeds has F1 [Vietnanese Black X China Indica]. I believe its called "Orient Express". This strain should give you that SPIRITUAL experience.

Thx 4 all the info y'all!!! I've heard of the Pewee Dalat stuff but haven't ever seen it. Gonna go Google for it now.

kalimist has a sativa Cambodia type plant in ther,thats why it has a funny cant put your finger on the smell when smoked.it doesnt smell like ordenary weed.

Someone over HERE is preserving the strain you speak of, a few someones in fact.

Ya see, there's a grower in the local "circle of friendship" who managed to bring some seeds of some absolutely killer vietnamese weed back with him after the war, it just took a while for him to germ them and grow some in his phototron. He gave some cuttings of it to another local grower who does more of the mass quantity thing, and now I'm starting a mom of it from a cutting he gave me. We call it Vietnamese Purple.

Vietnamese Purple, as far as I know, is quite a low yielder, and has a pretty damn long flower time, but what it lacks in quantity it more than makes up for in quality.

So this brings me, conveniently, to my "master plan". ANOTHER friend has a really crazy high yield strain he calls "Medusa" that he claims is a direct donor to the genetics of Trainwreck. I am going to create....

But since both strains are clone only, it could be a bit challenging. What I'm thinking I will do is force a medusa hermie, either with a totally crazy light schedule, or the old bud, trim, reveg trick. I'll take those seeds, and grow a viable male, which will be allowed to pollenate two or three Vietnamese Purple clones. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

I didn't find burmese pure to be what would be considered viet or cambodian. but it makes FANTASTIC hybrids.

willi nelson I've grown pure and f2's of both the viet black phenos and nepalese phenos. its good weed but pretty mellow.

if your looking for those racy type asian highs I'd look for a haze hybrid that had that in mind, or kail mist.

AHHHH! I found an answer by doing a search on "red sap"!!!

-My Hawaiian Snow plant had bloodred sap covering the wound where I cut a clone and when I examined the fluid closer by dillution and paperdipping I disvovered it had a deep purple tinge to it too. Crazy I thought!!! (Greenhouse Seeds cross of Hawaiian and Laothian genetics, I think)
That plant itself is fairly light green in color btw...

I know Reeferman has offered Pure Cambodian before, he also has some other asian sativas so you might want to check out things from time to time to see what he has to offer.

I've got some of the Vietnamese seeds from Ray Davis. I've also got some of the Vietnam Black from Fet of Spice Brother's Seeds. I've guessing they are some of the seeds used in some of those crosses he did. I know these are the straight VB seeds that are for sale. I'm also going to give these two strains a whirl and see what happens.

Killer thread, I know i love all the SE Asian strains. Best of luck in your search.

Though it's technically african but its still almost as close to S.E. Asia as it is to mainland africa (maybe closer) some zamals and phenos withinin the different zamals lean toward southeast Asian. In this pure zamal after curing I got some very pronounced chocolate thai odors like a sweet mocha chocolate instead of the more typical earthy and mago carroty smells.
