damn strainhunter- you must have alot of smokers on that island for the amount of bud you grow

It is more about how long it gotta last rather than the amount of smokers.

I am not always around & sometimes gone for an extended period of time.

Went over to the other island earlier checking the hog traps I set and also checked on the outdoor plants.

They are small but look GREAT!

Already lots of crystals!

Forgot the camera again ...but soon will take pics for y'all to see!

no problem! lantana is a pretty much standard ornamental all over the southern US. if you ever dig any up and bring it to your home it loves to be fertilized and pruned back after blooming to encourage another round of color. it blooms off of new growth so haircuts are recommended quite often. be careful though cause it will make you itch like crazy if it rubs on you a little too much...

No, dont do that. Lanterna is awful. - True its flowers are pretty to look at, but they grow very fast into bug bushes and really take over the whole space very fast. If and when you might want to get rid of, its almost impossible. They also grow in extreme desert hot climates.

Wonderful trimming job you did. How many plants did you have and how much yield did you get?

Trimming was the easiest part.

Took us (2ppl) 14 hours total on 48 (6 of those were the flowered moms) plants trimmed by hand yielding approx. 8lbs dried of course.

This does not account for the trim hash to follow someone will do for me once he makes it over here.

Why approx. 8lbs?
Because I gave out 2 bags of finished product but did not keep record of how much it was.

So did ya score a hog or what?

Somehow I missed your question earlier...

No nothing this time.
It is a corral trap. Basically a sturdy fence with two one way doors (in only, not out!) ;)
We put in feed such as broken up Coconuts, Mangoes and sometimes kitchen scraps and the hogs go in one ofter the other. We have caught whole hog families that way...but they have gotten smarter over time lol and are harder to catch now.

Our set-up is kind of like the one below. We built ours from all sorts of stuff such as boat masts, shipwreck items and some trawler net we found washed up.

NOT my picture, just showing how a corral trap can look like:

We can't shoot them.
It is a protected area, not for hogs though, still cannot shoot them since doing so would scare off nesting birds and other wildlife.

It is sad how much garbage especially plastic washes up @ certain times of the year.
A while back a HUGE mess of a torn up trawler net washed up with sections of a drowned whale still in it.
I wish I had pictures of that. It would have brought tears to the viewers eyes.

Wow yeah that's a sad sight indeed, and ya gotta silence your tool to not scare wildlife away.

I could only imagine the freedom to play like that on a island.

Are there 'silencer' laws where you live.

That could be a way around the 'disturbing wildlife' laws...Just don't give away you secret too early, hogs might be gone.

I am - let's just leave it by saying "somewhat involved" in the gun industry.
I do have silencers and two of them are top class material. I do not have them here where I am and not even those would play the trick since no silencer around is even remotely as quiet as they show in movies...

Our wildlife protection area is not an area protected by any law but rather by silent respect so to speak (don't know if that makes sense).
I could fire a gun here but we just won't do it.
I thought of crossbows etc. but what we do here is more of a fun thing, almost everyone can kill a hog with a gun using a scope..
Traps and snares are a different story. ;)

do you think i could lollipop my plants 2 weeks into flower?....it's northern lights.

Absolutely!

Who is the breeder? SensiSeeds?

Cut them between 2/3 and 3/4 from the bottom up. Basically leave 3 or 4 side branches plus the main cola.
Unless you have plenty space in between each plant, then just make sure you have adequate light reaching whatever you do not cut off.

Use your cuts for the next run. That's how I do it.

Yeah, I was thinking just bows...
Or going 'Lost' style with a whole slew of knives...
:blowbubbles:

Traps and snares are a different story. ;)
Like trying to wrestle a greased pig (not hog).
I still gotta do that before I die. Looks like fun.

I hear ya HS,I respect the silent respect on the island and I respect the stragity it takes to successfully snare/trap an animal.

On the flip side bow hunting is fun and in some cases a real challenge and pretty Damn silent too.

Just spent the last 2 hours looking @ crossbows on FleaBay ;)

The one I ended up liking they do not ship here. So it is going to Cali and then coming here.
Should take quiet some time but it will be fun once it gets here.
I just hope it is worth the $$'s...those things are EXPENSIVE!
