well this is a tough on. man o man cdog or purple k. hmmm well since the cdog hasn't made it to the stable yet and well the purple is already ehre.. dam im going to have to be biased and say purple... hahahah the cdog d is good real good but i dont ahve it yet...

Who let the dogs out? Woof!! Man, I'd have a hard time picking strain of the year with all the wonderful weed out there but I do love the dog. I think that sooner or later some beans should be made available so everybody has a chance to get some dog genetics. It might take some time to make the seeds but I think that people who are unable to get cuts (which I'm sure is alot of people) would love to get some doggie in their garden.
I do think that chem d would be a great pick for strain of the year from what I've smoked. I guess that alot of people haven't had the pleasure to smoke it but I could say the same thing about the elites in previous strains of the year and cup winners. I smoke alot of good pot but there are hundreds of varieties that I haven't had the pleasure to try ( I will accept any and all samples though, lol )

It'd probably be better to list something that someone could actually purchase(other than at a med club or someone's living room). Because of that fact, the lack of validity that both of these strains have when "picked up" by certain people may lead to it not actually being "purple kush" or "chemdawg". Those who know will definitely knows without question, but that's a small percentage.

exactly, it really oughtta be something that a good many people have smoked, hence a lot of people knowingly voting it strain of the year. and why the purple kush, having been smoked by oh so many on the west coast and really been a main contributing factor, whether through direct smokin or hybrids, in all that purple hype (which high times loves) will become strain of the year.
perhaps after the chemdog d is overgrown an many people smoke it an they just can't stop talking about it to everyone who then craves the smoke an the -real- hype ensues.... it will become strain of the year, 2007. would be awesome, eh, chemdog, an more validated on high times reader's opinions yah? i thought patience was what we growers knew best

Also, you'd think the sour d success would be enough personal validation as a groundbreaker in the pot community. THIS strain could easily be considered strain of the year on most platforms.

East Coast Sour Diesel [clone] was 'HT's Strain of the year' last year...

I've never smoked the Purple Kush, so I can't speak for it. But Chemdawg d reaches holy grail like status in my household. Word!

I haven't picked up a high times in years I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't care what HT has to say on anything, unless i'm in the market for fake buds HT doesn't even come to mind
Well when i smoked the dog bud back in 91 it was the best ever and i never thought anyone could produce anything better. To this day I haven't seen anything as good. I am getting some original 91 dog in a couple days so i will report back. I can't wait to see that dog that i used to smoke 15 years ago. I can't friggin wait!!!!!!!!! Since i haven't smoked any Kush YET i will have to vote DOG, Chem. Thanks for saving those seeds!! Because it "makes you roll over like a dog"
