Stop and consider our positive impact as growers.

Have you ever stopped as a grower and considered how many people you've gotten high? Not in terms of weight or money, but in terms of how much of a positive impact that has on those people and then the people around them? Stop and consider it. How many bad days have been turned around because of your herb? How many conversations have been more open, or albums more enjoyed, because of your herb? How many times has someone stopped and considered a different point of view because they were high on your herb? How many sick people have been able to eat, or sleep, of live a life a bit more comfortable because of our work? We should remember this. We grow a plant that affects people in deep and positive ways. That's the pleasure we should take as gardeners. Our growing sends out positive ripples in ways few other things can.

I think about this all the time.

I think its one of the only things that truly matters.

Lots of folks think they want to change the world
without realizing that starts, and ends
with the self

nope but I do check for counterfeit cash....yeehaw...I know the difference I have made to some medical peoples lives....but I also made a lot of spring breakers happy in my florida days...

Stoned, those happy spring breakers are as much of what I'm talking about as the medicinal patients. We make positive ripples in the pond.

Damn right.
It makes me a nicer person, that's for sure.
Plus we must plant more trees than most people- trees are good. :)

Growers saved my life when western medicine had nothing left to offer.
I went to Cali and got a card and starting using cannabis after a 20+ year break in '08.
I was not able to access medical quality as an old man with no stoner friends on the east coast.
the quality difference between high end Cali dispensaries and east coast streets is enormous.
the biggest difference I found was the the old school clone only low yield strains provided the best relief for my conditions.
any good strain that gets you high can give relief for many recreational and medical problems but I get a major difference in relief from a pretty small group of cultivars.
Economic conditions in the Cali medical market have kept strains like Jack, Chem, OG, Diesel, Cookies available all the time
but you were shit out of luck trying to access them in the RI or MA medical scene just a few years ago.

the thing I try to do though my growing besides help myself and the others who smoke what I give away
is to spread good genetics freely to other growers so the level on this coast will improve quickly.
a yuuuge part of the east coast market smokes whatever popped from a seed rather than selected clones that have faced decades of challengers and stood up for their medical benefits.
lot's of that seed grown weed will get labeled after whatever is trendy but not resemble it at all.

under my conditions I can only grow for a few sick people but I can and have shared cloned genetics and seeds with scores of growers so far and I have big plans for this years MI cup.
I want to have rooted clones of OGKB 2.0, GlueBreath, Stink Panties, Forum, Thin Mint, ECSD, Corey Stardawg, Sour Dubb and Fire OG there.

Decades of growing and sharing is a good way to spend one's life ~ whether it is weed, love, cash, food, or shelter, sharing is the path to eternal happiness ~ for the giver and the receiver.

I'm just a hobbyist, but I never would have gotten into weed if it weren't for professional growers in the 90s. It changed my life forever, just having it available to buy when I was in college. I knew I'd start growing my own once I could afford a place on my own.

Lets not forget about thoughtful outdoor growers remediating soils with their thoughtful practices. They potentially charge the soil with good vibes for years...
