STONER TALES COMING SOON

I have decided that very soon I will relate to you some of the adventures I've had with Stoner over the years, and I can assure you that by the time you've read them you'll have an understanding of just what kind of character he truly was. We started out as smoking buddies, then became teammates in a billiards league, then business partners in a mobile kitchen, serving the likes of Kansas at a local music festival, and traveling around looking for venues, until eventually I became his personal helper as he became more disabled. You'll hear how he helped me win tickets to see the Stones in Minneapolis, how he bravely exhaled a hit into the face of the local Chief Of Police back when there were few states with legal weed (ours not being one of them) and about the time we got pulled over in South Dakota by a state trooper with enough weed and smoking gear to put us behind bars for at least a week, and we drove away with just a speeding ticket, thanks to his ingenuity. I'm still grieving for this beautiful and mischievous man, yet I feel these are stories that those of you who knew him through this site would like to hear, so expect the first installment very soon. Blessings, love and peace to you all!

S4L lives!

S4L lives!

I have a very recent story, involving synchronicity (maybe, maybe not!).:dunno:

....... anyhow, I've been sick as a dog for the past month or longer and not able to do anything, a friend has been bringing me juice and soup, but that's it!

So a couple of days ago I was starting to feel a bit better and getting a little appetite along with a sudden craving for something sweet, in fact anything sweet, but the cupboard was bare.

I was also feeling sorry for myself and thinking of my lost buddy, S4L, and the really, really delicious box of chocolates he had sent me this time last year.

Decided to get over it by taking another nap, opened the drawer of the nightside table to put away my glasses and what do I see but one lonely leftover chocolate wrapped up in gold foil staring up at me.

How it got there I do not know as I never eat bon bons in bed.

How it escaped my notice after alla these months I don't know either, but I do believe that S4L lives on in some realm or other and his great sense of humor is still intact!:tiphat:

I was in graduate school in `97 when they played at an outdoor venue promoting their Bridges to Babylon album in New Mexico. Same night as preview of the following week's mid term exam so couldn't ditch class (5-10 PM). Now I wished I had seen them. Tsk!

Play their CD's (yes, I'm of that generation) or videos.

Rock on STONERS!

Man I went with my parents to go to that show, it was pretty awkward.

Edit: when I was a kid we used to go down to Mexico pretty frequently. There was a spot on the beach that served up a great breakfast in a pretty amazing setting. On one trip, turned out Keith Richard's was in town and we would routinely run into him. He had tequila and cigs, breakfast of champions.
