Stoner Friendly Jobs.

nattynattygurrl: Great answer!! I was waiting to see the one that would say they always tried to hire others who enjoy smoking, I think if other small business owners would do that, things would be alot better.

cheebacheeba: Really cool story, Sorry you no longer have the job, sounded like fun.

Alot of good stories here so far. I could actually get stoned at my job if I wanted but it's kinda hard when you see customers all day. Plus nattygurl is the only one so far to hit on the true essence of a stoner friendly job, a boss that goes out their way to make sure that other responsible stoners have a comfortable place to work provided they do their job. It's a bitch worrying about if someone is gonna notice. We / I need more of that kind of enviorment to work in. My boss is the definition of reefer madness. He believes all of the bullshit theories about weed.

You could of course argue that if our society was more stoner friendly we might not even be here chatting it up on a forum. Hmmm ... thought provoking, in the middle of my high. Now I'm screwed ... lol :D

im in a similar boat - i have a journalism degree but no longer any desire to enter that proffesion. I had been consider design or desk top publishing, but just dont think i want to spend forty years sat at a pc.

Im seriously thinking about gardening/horticulture the money may never be fantastic, but whts more important money or job you like?

I'm kinda in the art bussiness also, Unfortinatly I dont sell enough paintings so I mostly do picture framing out of my home. I also work part time at a shop, they will never test you becouse it just cost too much,

I agree. I barely make enough money to get by, but I dont mind working:D

CHT: oh yes definately, I could handle horticulture. My thoughts exactly, if I get rich before I die ... Great, I just want the least amount of stress possible. Anyway if everything that is written is true then hey paradise waits for me. I simply must cope until then and wish for peace.

cooked cook: Was a military cook in one of my previous reinventions, kinda ruined it for me.

start your own back yard nursery stock business. supply large scale growers rooted cutting at wholesale, or sell small plants every spring out of your driveway (or do both :D). initial investment is stock plants to take cuttings from. perrennial divisions of herbacious plants such as hostas and daylillies. i could go on and on as this is exactly what i was working on before my injury.
check out http://www.freeplants.com/backyard.htm

look at this guys layout. i still plan on doing this eventually when i'm able physically or i can find good help.

just remember this guy is a salesman so his site might be kind of annoying but there is some good info there.

some kitchens i worked in would simply turn a blind eye to blazing (ie. i dont give a shit if youre high just dont let me catch you blazing out back where customers could see you). nothing was more fun than working with 2 other dope people on a friday night who love pot just as much as you, id drink alot at work too in most kitchens.
