That's a gorgeous pic, however I gotta say that prize is a bit skewed. Personally I'd rather have the expensive camera over the vip tour of new york...unless the tour comes with a camera too.

Stitch I gotta say, I've been to Illinois and fucking hated it. If the state was half as beautiful as your picture I think it could grow on me. Good luck though, your picture blows the competition out of the water (not that there aren't a lot of great photos on the site).

By the way do you do any B&W? I still use an old AE-1 and stick with black and white for most of my pictures. Unless I get stuck taking pictures at a families wedding or the such.

LOL I totaly agree with you I hate this city; this city has singlehandedly screwed my family up; they took my brothers wife away from him even though she had consent from both parents and signitures. THey were married legally in Tx and Illinois and they threw my brother in jail and gave him a sex offender status for marrying a girl who was 16 and he was 24. She got sent to a childs home and he got remarried later because the state nulled his marriage. He had 2 kids and they both got taken away cause of his "sex offender status". The caseworker that took my brothers wife away seen he had kids in the paper and came and took them away. Long story short my brother ended up hanging himself because he jumped through hoops for 3 years trying to get them back and the state ended up adopting them out to a couple of old farts who will not let any of the family have contact. Not even my mother who is there grandmother.

THey would not let my mother have custody because she worked so much nor us and our records were squeeky clean at the time; they said because I already had 1 child that me taking on another would be to much, wth?!? Foster farms have like 7 8 and 9 kids for crying out loud!

But enough, then my sister she ran up north to get away from Peoria cause of issues with the police and she ended up becoming a basket case from it.

Now they are @*#U&@( with me and my family...... got busted and now we got felonys; we were elegble for first offender probation and we never got it even though we have never been arrested and our records are clean. Because of the potency of the pot that we were not first timers that we were dealers and he called my medical defense absurd and Preposterous and blew up in like a pretend fit of rage. He goes This I never heard of the "montel williams Defense" LOL I wrote a letter to the judge stating that pot was medication and listing certain famous advocates and showing proof.
enough ranting; Not trying to get to carried away cause I won't be able to fall asleep lol. Sorry for getting off the topic and getting carried away. I tend to babble a lot once I get going on a certain subject :) Espeically when it involves this state lol

THat is one thing I have not done yet is try black and white. I know it can produce some excellent pictures; especially when you are trying to show emotion in your pictures or make them look quaint. Those old SLR 35mm cameras don't go wrong and even hold there values for a very long time. Especially canon's. Damn you still shoot with that ehh? Well like I said you can't go wrong :) I personally love canon's lineup and will only shoot with a canon. My camera I shot that picture with is a rebel Xti. This is my first SLR camera; I shot with a Sony DSC-V1 and when I wanted to jump up to a SLR I took a look at Sony's alpha which is nice but does not compete with the rebel Xti. + it holds my settings unlike NIkon's D series. The Sony Alpha when you take night pictures at higher ISO settings there is a lot of noise for a SLR; whgich is why they give you a image stabalizer and a longer zoom to make up for it. The picture colors are not as bright either as the rebel's so when I seen the Xti I fell in love with it. As you can see.. I had to take up a new hobby after I got busted... but one day I will grow again!

Damn sorry to hear about all the trouble. Fucking government can't keep their noses out of other peoples business. Keep your head up though, just hope that one day they all get Cancer and have to use Marijuana to get rid of the symptoms.

And if you can call it a bright side you should look at it, one day your photography skill will come in quite handy to capture the vibrant colors of your garden.

You're a positive one Stitch,I can remember some weirdly motivated outright non-support from some big fish at OG,but what the hell they banned me and I really have nothing but good memories of the joint.I was fortunate enough to join early and get a first class education thats for sure.If I misread your "pun" I apologize,I'm really not trying to reminisce negatively lol.I love you Kryptonite!And I really do like you OP.

Nuser you are so right man; the shit ALWAYS comes back to them one way or another when they don't see it coming! I always try to keep a positive outlook on things cause if I don't I see the way that they are getting to me and I Don't want that.


Hey american; :D LOL I for one got there late it seems....... towards the end a lot of people were speaking out about things that I knew nothing about :(

Breezy; it's like once you stick your roots here it's like cement you can't leave! Thanks so much for your vote too m8! :D
