Big South Pump from Mahakala

The Rainbowcake in hydro is going loose!!
Will be moving it to a lager enclosure than the 800x800 on the weekend for budding

RBCake.JPG

Got a few coming through in the nursery
A couple of Sour D fem from seed
Quite a few Golfballs, 4 of which are going to get the hydro treatment. I'll rinse the soil off the roots and get them in
A few LT C99 clones
I think I'll gradually convert to full hydro in pumice for a while to reduce labour and increase crop size

Bit of a reshuffle today. Had to move the Rainbowcake to the big space. They grow so fast in hydro, especially the one on the left because the roots are going into the res DWC style!
Also in the main area are 2 young female Big South Pumps from @MAHA KALA . I kinda wish I had taken some clones now but he was generous with the seeds so I can always grow some more :)
and 2 heavily seeded LT Peak C99's in the little pots

Looks like the BSPs are gonna be pretty frosty. The bud with the hangy down leaflets looks the best :)
Sorry about the focus

Up-potted the Sour Diesels from the nursery to their own 5 gallon pots. I'm trying an organic mix of 2/3 store bought organic potting mix 1/3 perlite and a few table spoons of bird guano granules. I plan to water lightly with a rotation of rainwater and bio canna flores and a little silicic acid from the get-go
I'm trying to simplify to see what's really necessary

Just popped a bag of 10 Corinto Purple (Limon Verde)
My most expensive seeds ever, from TLT
I will hopefully do some clones then a repro :)

20th today and they've started to show through. This method seems to work well
Soak Jiffies in a weak nutrient mix of about 400ppm
Place the seeds at a depth of about 4-5x their diameter
Place the jiffies in a container and float the container in an Icebox with a few inches of water in the bottom
Use an aquarium heater to keep the water at ~25°c
Close the lid for 2 days or until the first seed shows then leave it open with a light above

There's some interesting things happening in the curtain room
Left to right, my first Hydro grow, 2x Rainbowcakes. 2x Big South Pumps from Mahakala. 2x heavily seeded LT Peak C99

The roots have grown into the nutes in a big way. Hope they don't clog the pump! They're growing so well I think it's worth the risk

These Big South Pumps are smelling great and looks like they picked up some stray dust from the C99 seed run. They're gonna be some special mongrels :D

The C99s are looking very smokable, even fully seeded :D
I'm surprised they're making so much frost. Can't wait to see how the clones perform!

The hydro Rainbowcakes are bushing like crazy

The Big South Pumps from @MAHA KALA are starting to mature. Two different phenos, both accidently dusted with Peak C99 pollen. Should be interesting. The one at the back looks the frostiest!

The LT Peak C99 seeds are fattening up

The two Sour Diesels are getting some fat leaves

And 9 of the 10 Corinto Purples from TLT look to be out of the woods :) Will be collecting pollen from all males and dusting the girls a little

The big south pump will come out on top :smoker:
That's a pretty bold statement when you look closely at the other contenders. All thoroughbreds in their own right!
The Rainbowcake and Golfball are already household favs and the C99 is touted by LostTribe to be the pick of the litter after years of selection …. The Corinto is also supposed to be exceptional so the BSP has some stiff competition... but you may be right, we will see :)

Wanted to give you a slight update on the Golfball. After a bit in the jar the taste and smell have settled a bit and seem much more cheesy than anything else. I know that a cut of Exodus cheese made it here some years back, thanks to masta yoda, but I don't know if it fits the same timeline as I've never really followed that strain. I am very convinced she's of Skunk/Afghan origins so that would fit the Cheese lineage... Maybe someone with more experience with that strain could chime in?

Hey Brother, thanks again for the info, great stuff (y) You will have to share it 'round if anyone else is to have a crack at identification. I've been a bit slack getting you a clone but I've been a bit busy. I don't know what cheese strains smell like but I wouldn't have associated it with cheese, but what do I know :p
I thought about what you said about the seed viability so I ripped a couple from the plants. The green one is C99 and the darker one is C99xBSP. I'll chuck them straight in the incubator and see what happens... probably nothing but who knows? it's an interesting experiment anyway :)

Edit: Haha I dropped the C99 seed while placing it in the jiffy so I had to get another. It looks much better anyway :D
