Stephen Colbert..

this was hilarious, its from right after the democrats won the mid-term elections I believe.

"Tomorrow you're all gonna wake up in a brave new world. A world where the Constitution gets trampled by an army of terrorist clones created in a stem cell research lab run by homosexual doctors who sterilize their instruments over burning American flags. Where tax and spend Democrats take all your hard earned money and use it to buy electric cars for National Public Radio and teach evolution to illegal immigrants. Oh, and everybody's high!"

The show was great when it first started, but it seems to be becoming stagnant. Oh well, parts are still funny.

Colbert @ the Emmys

Damn can't find the Even Stephven medical marijuana thing from the Daily Show. With Steve Carell n Colbert, funny stuff.

Looks like Comedy Central is getting some of their stuff removed from internet video hosting pages or is it just me?

they are getting it removed, which makes sense, and doesn't make sense. it makes sense in the fact, that no one will buy the DVD's (if they make any) of TV shows if they can get it off the net for free. but it doesn't make sense in the fact that these shows can easily be recorded and viewed over and over again privately, thus defeating the purpose to buy the DVD's. and it doesn't make sense anyways, because who would buy DVD's of comedy about old news?

^ yea and in most cases u don't get the whole show. Nevermind the whole season  Only few minute clips, u'd think they would be good like freebies before u buy more stuff. But oooh no! Can't show shit!
Not to mention, it's hard to get shows like Daily Show or Colbert Report fresh here (Finland) if u don't download em or sumtin like that. U'r right about old news. Who needs em, gotta hammer while the iron is hot

Currently boycotting: Viacom, Warner Brothers, SONY-BMG, etc etc..

Oh well, there's always torrents :)

i loved stephen when he was on john stewart i love him equally now. i like "tonight's word" and sometimes he knocks it straight out of the park!
my favorite quote from when he was on john stewart and they had him in front of the blue screen, they were talking about child molestation cases and John goes - "Tonight for our correspondent we go to our Child Molestation Expert - Stephen Colbert"
and he goes "......yeeeah, John, i'm been meaning to talk with you about that title..."

Stephen Colbert when he interviews the district representatives - "George Bush....Great president, or Greatest president? ha ha ha ha

i take it you are pro-bush :yoinks:

That..or he doesn't understand Colbert's sarcastic/mocking humor, he has a pretty unique humor.

I've heard people who STILL think he's actually a real conservative. They don't seem to understand he's just completely mocking O'Reilly and the general right-wing media. Or yeah, maybe he's a Bush supporter. :puppydoge

He's full of himself because it's all an act. His idea is to be a complete dick, because he's mocking the right-wing media, specifically O'Reilly. So he puts on that act where he's all arrogant and basically a dick to everyone. As a long time Daily Show fan, I always love watching Colbert's show right after, always a nice hour of fun =)

qft you have to realize his entire show is a satire of the rightwing medias portrayal of politics. the daily show is a plain ole satire of politics.

I'm a huge fan of colbert and while his act is satyre of Papa Bear O'reilly he also satirizes left wing concepts and spreads it around pretty even. Im sure some would disagree but I actually consider him both more funny and more evenly critical of both the left and the right than Jon Stewart. Perhaps I can just associate with him more being that we're from the same region. Have any of you seen him quote the bible? The guy must have the whole book memorizes.
