thanks legit you are correct.
as for the actual stella blue X WYD, the stella male and female were both in the room of WYD. From all the males that were in the room we had at least one female.
this is where you get Stella X WYD, Apollo X WYD, etc........
REMEMBER THESE SEEDS ARE F1'S NEVER BEEN TESTED.....
WE WANT TO MAKE THIS COMPLETLY CLEAR!!!!!!!!
A and I wont put out seeds that are not tested without makeing it perfectly clear!!!!![/I]
so 6.5 if you can get us some pics it would be great, there is definatly something special in there!!! take cuts and lable them for later!!!

I posted here and on OG a couple times back about this strain. I've done the mad A'dam/Holland taste test. Went there with a group of us and we toured Amsterdam/Haarlem looking for the most chronic tasting herb out there.

We focused purely on taste, not high... which we found to be easier to judge considering the vast consumption done in during the day. Out of about 90 or so strains we smoked, about 8 were worth picking up again.

We found Stella Blue [Barney's] and Star Warz [Bluebird] to be the most unique in all of the testing, with the winner going to Stella. We also found some other worthwhile strains but nothing extraordinary. I bought a big bag from Barney's (about 10g) and we found dozens of beans in it. Like Sloppy McNubble, I also thought about using them in my genetic program.. but lost the confidence to bring them home.

I suspect Stella has the same hermi problems I've had with old Blueberry phenos.

Maybe King Rezdog can hone in on these genetics and find the lovely traits in Stella without the hermi problems. If anyone can do it, its definately Rez.

Ok cool now its clear wtf is the male and female. I got a pack was one of the first to score them off of seedbay. I will pop them soon. With in 2 weeks forsure. I will take shots of them and a thread of course. Glad to see DNA is back in Biz. I love Stella Blue and i hope that DNA is able to get it to a workable seed. Thanks Bex

Well if it's sold so frequently on the commercial market in Amsterdam, then it HAS to be around in mother form somewhere.. clone only I'd imagine (like the rest of the funkiest bud out there). The tasty.. the search for the taste has begun.

I was in Amsterdam last month, and bought 2 grams of Stella Blue, one of my favorites, from Anyday and the buds were loaded with beans. i got 36 seeds out of 2 grams. I discovered this talking to the clerk at the seed boutique, and getting ready to load up a hit of stella and got 4 beans from a lil bud. i later ended up with the final count of 36. I stopped back at Anyday and the guy behind the counter told me it was a 16 week flowering sativa. That sounds a bit crazy for something like what stella feels like, its doesnt feel like a crazy haze or anything like that. Can anyone enlighten me further. And also i would assume these to be feminized if it was from a hermi pollination, or am i wrong?

The word i'm hearing is they are going to hemi. I have a source for clones in Adam. I'm going to run them this spring and give a full write up on them. If they are flowering for 16 weeks, there is a chance they will be Fem's. This is a way some breeder will grow fem seeds. Have a plant go well pass harvest time and wait for a female to kick out pollen. They will then have another clone at a early flower stage and hit it with the pollen from the later flowering clone. This is how some people make fem seeds without chemicals. I hope this helps out some. Your one lucky person to have that many seeds. I'm planning a trip to Adam around the holidays and for the April cup and will be buying up alot of the Stella Blue while there. Of course it's for the smoke, but also to round up as many seeds as i can from the buds to cross back to the clones i'm getting. Let us know if you grow them out. I'd like to know how they grow out and watch the thread. Take care and thanks for sharing.

My mates have not long been over there i told them to get as much as they could to get some seed from the Bud ..
From what ive heard its very difficult strain to work with , cos like people say it hermies in its last few weeks of flower
And as yous say its not a potent strain more for the taste buds i always get a 5g bag when i arrive
So when they got back they had about 15 seeds so me an my split them an ive got 3 sprouters so all looking good just got to watch the hermie probs

i bid on some stella b / wyd and now im scared to pop em . i bought them knowing they were dna. i trust dna being a fan of cantalope haze and doing further research while they were in route i found out they were hermies.
i read somewhere that hermies will be 50/ 50 hermie/female. can some one throw down the gauntlet of truth. and 6.5 how did yours turn out?

There's nothing wrong with those seeds. DNA has their stuff together for sure. I personal have 4 packs of the same seeds as you and don't have a doubt in my mind that they are going to rock. 40 seeds, should find me a nice Stella Blue Pheno male and female. Let's hope, because then the BX crossing will begin. Lets see some grow threads on these seeds.

hey everyone I was at the cup in 2003 .Anyday entered the stella blue ,strong good high.The guy behind the counter told some people to get lost that were judges in the cup lol.They were asking for the weed entry only no hash to try.after they left he said how are they voting without even smokin all thats entered.Anyways I was staying right up the same street so I bought the hash entry and some other weed and told him I would be back for the stella blue.When I went back there was not a rush of people so I got to talk for a min. he told me a story of a clone from no cali being smuggled in a boquet of flowers and that was how they got stella over there.I ended up going back for more .Very good taste smell and high.I found a seed in stella but it never sprouted .........peace , buddah

I totally admire Gypsy's ethic about giving away freebies to other folks, but unfortunately no one I know is in a position to grow. The WYD's have to rate as one of the all-time great freebies (I heard blackberry was a freebie, too!)! Anyway, the few WYD's I sprouted, I was just impressed by the quality genetics of the plants. I have one right now in veg...I hope it's a girl!
