Nice! When are they coming down?

Hard to say. Trichomes still look clear even on Blue OG, and Papaya is behind that in terms of development. Both had late starts in terms of showing sex. I expect at least another week for Blue OG and 2-3 for Papaya. I also had too much nitrogen early in flower, so I've been flushing both plants with pH'd tap water until their dark green lightens up, although I will probably flush Blue OG from here on out until harvest.

Close up bud shots of both plants. Blue OG is starting to look more cloudy. Hopefully only a week left as I'm getting impatient for them to finish (supposed to be 8 week strains). I read that decreasing light hours from 12 to 11 can help trichome maturation, but I'm unsure if I want to try that method.

Photo update on Papaya. I've been flushing both plants, however I gave Papaya a rinse with some Coco A + B and PK 13/14, as she still needs some time.

Blue OG photo update. After examining the trichomes with my 60x magnifier, it appears the top buds are beginning to look around 10% amber. This plant will likely be coming down within the week, and will receive a nice slow whole-plant dry, with almost everything attached (fan leaves, sugar leaves etc.). People claim this provides a head start on a nice slow curing process, along with better taste and other things. It makes biological sense to me.

When Papaya is done she will receive the same treatment most likely. I have two hygrometers meant for cigar cases I got from amazon, but with the salt test both appear to be off, +4% and +10%, respectively. I'm told that you can just write on the meter the difference and that will give you an accurate reading, given the salt test.

I'd love to hear some drying and curing tips, as every person has something different to say.

Upon closer inspection of trichomes using my microscope taped to my phones camera, I've determined that both plants look about ready. I see a few buds that have been under the cfls on Blue OG are a lot more amber. Both plants have almost all cloudy with hints of amber in some places, and more in others. They are both Indica Dominant hybrids, so I think this is the best time to harvest. It will be the morning of 81F before lights are turned on. Both plants were advertised as 8 week strains, so I think the almost 12 weeks they've been flowering has been sufficient.

You just watered a few days ago with nutes and pk? You should flush your soil for at least a week before harvest. Your buds will taste much better.

Both plants have received pH'd tap water for over two weeks, and Papaya only received a dose of 4 mL A+B and 2 mL PK right after a usual tap water feed. This was about a week ago and has been receiving pH'd tap water since. Keep in mind these plants are in coco which does not retain nutrients very well. So after the first few days of flushing the plants are surely working on their nutrient supply in their tissues.

I only harvested Blue OG today because of size constraints. Need another box to dry Papaya.

I'm going to dry both plants whole for two days, remove big fan leaves and leave for another 24-48 hours, then chop it to branches and hang for another 24-48 hours. I then will fully manicure and jar from there. They'll be be burped for a few weeks until desired humidity is reached.

This is my first time, all of my methods are compiled from hours of research on forums. Right now the main thing I need to worry about is mold, but room RH is around 60% so I think I should be okay.

I didn't know you are running coco, I used to use Canna coco and nutes. One time I have pk late in flower and didn't flush, bud wasn't nearly as good as the other plants that finished later and were flushed longer.
Sounds like you have things under control, buds are super frosty for sure! Congrats on the harvest.

Decided to chop Blue OG into branches and leave them otherwise intact to dry for another day or two, and then take off fan leaves to be saved for butter or ISO wash. Papaya will likely come down Monday, or sooner.

Harvest Update:

Blue OG was trimmed, manicured, and jarred on Friday. Initial weight was 35 grams, may lose a few more grams of water weight.

Buds are extremely potent in terpenes, with lush tropical scents overpowering. With this dry method, there was no period of hay smell after manicure.

Papaya will probably come down on Monday. Hoping to get at least an ounce off of her as well, which would put me at about 2 Oz from 138 W of CFL, in 2 sq ft of space!

Will update with grams/watt and other calculations after final weights are obtained.
