All I can say that's an excellent Grow Room. Props man for all that hard work you put into the attic, and hopefully its pays off when harvesting comes :)

Glad to see another post in this thread, Bender. Things are looking great. Have you finalized on an A/C setup yet?

whats the plan for those cmh?
we want to have the flexibility of running cmh or hps in any bay. the purpose of having both; we'd like the room to be perpetual so we can use cmh for plants in early flower and hps for late flower. there's also quite a bit of splash that can be utilized in early flower.

Gonna try and get our hands on some 1-1.5" HDF and build a cabinet for it. going to be at the end of the room where the muffler is right now, but in that whole bay. soon as work pays me we're getting one.

Ventilation:
Can filter (next to A/C) > vented hoods > veg room
(RETURN CIRCUIT)
veg room > flower room > can fan intake to flower room
Idea being the veg room needs to be a little warmer so we harvest the heat from the lamps. CanFan resides in the flower room pulling air in from veg room. This keeps negative pressure in the veg room (and the door) and through the scrubber and over the lamps.. We also anticipate dialing the system in with the variac with the 'optimum balance between noise and function.'

We're brainstorming other creative ways to harvest the heat, but we've got seedling mats and 4 lamps and a 1500w heater.

Cheers again everybody, thanks for the support. Hope we can show off more completeness soon.

Fuckin excellent stealth setup. How is the airflow and humidity in there? N did you have to plastic up the wood? I had to in one setup because the wood was suckin up all the moisture in the air.

This setup is just amazing. I love seeing well thought out, very neet grow rooms. Then on top all that its in the attic aka (The hardest place to control temps) lol. Just awsome!

The entire room is wrapped and sealed in reflectix underneath the drywall.

wow guys, im amazed at how nice your attic is turning out. I think youve designed exactly what i want my attic to look like :D

awesome job, keep it up,

So my attic is the same as yours and I want to finish out into a room. I have questions about construction, like are your trusses made from 2x4's and if so did you just place like 3/4" plywood across the celing joist or did you have to add additional support for load baring reasons? like 2x6's or 2x8's? And did you have to cut any of your trusses if they were in the way? All of mine are in the classic W shape except around my a/c. They are braced different to create a 6' wide by 5 1/2'-6' high square space or so and I would like to make the rest of my trusses look like that so I could just frame it up and insulate?

Well done Bender ! LMAO thinkin about what in a pain in the ass drywalling that must have been. No room to swing a cat.... Extra points for difficulty.

Oh man you just earned my love forever. Thank you for sympathizing with me on that one. My partner has been a huge help and I couldn't have done it without him, but I will take credit for having to cut all those pieces out.

And Bionic.... Man I don't know what to say right now. I've been working 75+ hour weeks lately and every time I have a chance to sit down at the computer I'm completely wiped and don't have much energy to help you out with your project. All I can say is don't cut anything unless you know what you're doing and make sure you have an actual load-bearing wall underneath you. Our room happens to have a 2x6 wall directly underneath it. I talked at length with a civil engineer about our roof and learned just enough to know not to fuck with it. The biggest structural challenge with the typical attic grow is that a lot of ceilings are "floating ceilings". That means that the insterior walls underneath it aren't actually taking the weight of the roof above them. So by installing a floor and adding weight, you're really just adding more load to the truss in places it wasn't designed to hold weight (especially dynamic weight).

Also, for anyone who cares...... there should be a pretty big thread update in the near future. The room has gone through extensive upgrades since we last took pictures.
