Stealth dresser cabinet build...Tubes of Green Vertical Scrog

Hi. I'm back.

I never remember my passwords from the previous NICs I've used, but some of you may remember me as Vern Equinox from 5 years or so ago. I'm getting a little active again, but not as ambitious my last cabinet grow, which kept me in mason jars of C99 for 8 months.

I was floored by what two Czechs were doing with single 150s (G-man and Prenda), and adapted a big Mills Pride cab using their technique. This pic was my design, and it worked great first time out, but now I want to scale it down to two vertical 150s in a 33x19x48 dresser I scored for $10. It'll look like the bottom half of this 4-bulb cab, but with a smaller scrubber inside the top and a 4 inch vortex pulling through and exhausting in the rear. I'd rather blow into the scrubber, but I need the stealth, and I can reduce the fan speed if necessary. For intakes I have two 12 inch square darkroom louvers from the other cab...do you think I'll need both? I will do basic bio-tubs with powerheads using RO water and red lava rocks, so I will not have to mess with reservoir changes and PH will be rock steady. I gotta find my truncheon meter though, and figure out how to use it again. And Lucas Formula for GH. My nutes are 5 years old...they DEFINITELY need replacing, right?

With the size of my dresser and using rectangular "tubes" of chicken wire, I figure to have around 22 sq feet of scrog screen! (of course I'm counting the center screen twice, as it'll be growing buds on either side stretching for different lights). It gets busy, but the trick for me was to keep pulling the shade leaves behind the chicken wire, and of course keep training the stretching plant around the tubes. I'll use modified cool tubes, without fans going through them, as the circulation from the vortex will move enough air...the tubes will just prevent buds from touching the hot lights.

Here are some pics of the Czechs Doing their unbelievable 150 watt grow (well, it was unbelievable until I saw similar results myself...thanks guys!). Pics are of G_MAN an Prenda's grows, and got me into Tubes of Green 5 years ago!

It's good to be back!

Oh, I forgot to add that the dresser will be on wheels, and I'll add a door to the rear, to give access to that side of the tubes for training and shade leaf maintenance. Three plants (Female Seeds C99 again) will fill this out pretty quickly, especially after FIMing them. Can anyone remind me of the basics in FIMing, as in how many nodes into vege to hit the top branch and how extensive to do side branches? Thanks.
