Hey all, well I guess I'll start out with telling you a little bit about myself. I've been smoking the green for 15 years now and have wanted to grow for the last 10.. lurked OG for many years, designed cabinet after cabinet.. just never followed through. Mostly due to lack of funds.. and my rich taste lol.. I don't like to do things half fast.. so I'm going in balls deep!!

The Set up

First and formost.. i first saw it on utube.. The Homebox.. don't even have it yet and i already love the thing, its gonna be here tommorow.

Lights - 400 watt Digital Ballast MH/HPS - Cooltube is on its way as well
4 - 225 Red led panels ( to back up the 400w while blooming )
2 - 225 Blue led panels ( for vegging my mom's and clones )

Hydroponic system - RDWC with 360 degree misters, system has nine 5 gal buckets with 4 netpots in each one (pictures will be posted when i am finished building this next week) all connected with drain and feed lines to a 55 gal controller, which in turn in connected to a big garbage can for fresh water.

For my clones i am building a aeroclone machine as well as a two net pot rubbermaid bubbler for my mothers. As well the clones and the mother will be housed in a homebox XS.. which will be purchased at a later date.

For Nutes I am going to use Floranova as i have read good things about it

For my ventilation i am using a 6" inline duct fan along with a 200cfm carbon filter for oder.


Now for the main stars!!!

I went with Hemp depot and order a 10 pack of DP Skywalker, they came today but I'm to lazy to go over to the safe house and get them, I'll get them tomorrow
As well I decided to go with a 5 pack of BB Cheese fems after reading a few peoples grows, hopefully this plant is nice to me, I ordered these from Dr. Cronic in the UK with a visa gift card and according my email yesterday they should be here with in the week.

Well I've got the homebox L set up, things gonna work great
When and picked up the skywalker seeds.. I'm a lil choked that i didn't get a breeder package.. they were stuffed in a lil match box like plastic cardboard thing in between two q-tips.. with hand written dp skywalker, i was planning on framing that package.. oh well.
So I'm thinking about germing the skywalkers this weekend.. but I'm not really fully set up yet and don't really know when the income tax return is gonna show up I'm hoping next week.. If i germ some seeds this weekend, how long do i have before i need to put the seedlings into a hydro set up?

Now for some reason i can't upload pics.. I don't know why but its kinda annoying..

Nice little set up statictattoo don't worry about the uploading cause they just doing some updating.Wat i would like to know is wats the M.C.D of those blue leds?and y you would use red leds in flowering?

I don't need the red led's.. i just figured why not... after reading about them i do believe they can grow plants.. they just can't do it very well on their own.. they don't make any heat, each panel only uses 13 watts.. if anything i figure they will give me a few extra grams.. plus they last 15 years, you can get 4 off ebay for like $160.. Now the blue leds Im starting to worry are not going to be enough on their own for a mother and clones and i might as well go with cfls cause 1 panel is like $60 bucks and I'm sure what the M.C.D is it doesn't say

Well people.. my cheese seeds have landed.. tho my plans have changed a lil bit, I am not longer planning on running a Aero/DWC bucket system. I have decided to go with a simple ebb and flow table.

Simple is better i think...

So I'm going to germ my seeds in a lil bit here.. but Im seriously debating just germing one strain and not the other.. I'm kind of worried that they might need very different diets and will be running off the same rez...

I dunno anyone have any thoughts of the subject... I really torn cause i want to grow skywalker.. but damn cheese looks amazing

Hey everyone, heres a small update. Germed my seeds last night in paper towel with a seedling mat.. nothing to post about that yet, as of 12 hours i have no crackage.. so heres some pics of the BB Cheese seed packaging r:

So i germed my seeds saturday night, had a 100 % germ rate for 15 seeds. Im pretty happy

So to get that 100% first I went out and got some 1000 grit sand paper.. from a auto repair store. Which i then lined a tick-tac container with and shook each seed individually for 2 minutes.

I then mixed 1 liter of distilled water with 6 drops of h202 and a few drops of super thrive ( at least i tried for a few drops, the bottle has a big mouth and it kinda free poured for half a sec.. Im guessing about 4 or 5 drops worth went in )

I placed some blue industrial paper towel in a plastic container soaked them, then used the rest of the mix to soak my rock wool cubes. The seeds were placed in the paper towel container inside the seedling tray along with the rock wool cubes onto a seedling heating mat. ( note: it is important to use a timer on your seedling mat and watch the temp of your container, i found having the container away from the side of the mat with the cord worked best. I had the timer set for 1/2 hour off - 15 minutes on.. kept my seed in my target temp for 24 degrees celsius )

After 24 hours, all of the cheese seeds had cracked and 9 of the skywalkers had cracked.. i had one smaller whiter one, which of course is the one that hadn't cracked.. I then took all my seeds and transfered them to the rock wool cubes.. the smaller skywalker seed has since cracked i can see it down in the hole growing

Then as of today i came home from work to find a few of the skywalkers are popping up as well as a stem from one of the cheese

Well its been 7 Days since i germed.. i think i may not have done everything right when it comes to watering.. my week 1 pics and some of your guys's week 1 pics are not even close

I lost a cheese seedling the other day its stem seemed to like shrivel in on its self and it flopped over i went to touch it and it like came right out of the cube... didnt have a root really just a white stem.. i ripped open the cube there was nothing there.. no root system... i think i may be over watering.. I'm going to wait till the cube is almost dry before i water again...


And Skywalker #9.. not much growth in the last few days...

awesome, I haven't got one yet.. this lil operation is getting expensive but it'll be worth it in the end when i have the best shit ive ever smoked and its free soon I'll be ordering one.

good luck Statictattoo, I use only the blue and red LEDs for my entire grow and my plants are doing QUITE well...not to mention how much save on electricity!....your babies look beautiful *hugs*
