Your equating bomb threats with growing pot ..... thats like apples and potatoes ... totally different. Now show us a link where any grower has even been hassled over pics on one of thses site. Instead of just throwing fear around show sum proof of anything ever taking place that had to do with pot or stop posting about it .

If you use FireFox you can block webpages from loading images not on the same domain as the page. This prevents that from happening. You can also specify servers you will accept off site, like an image hosting server.

So why was I still seeing the google pic?!! It only went away when I blocked it in Firefox.

Also, re proxies, I read in other threads that they can still track you thru those too. I'd have to do some reasearch to confirm tho, but that's what I remember.

I don't consider myself paranoid,but in years of posting I've never posted pics.It's never happened,nobody went down from OG going down.But a lot of people went down voluntarily,I can think of a half dozen easily.John Walters is the most aggressive drug czar towards cannabis that I've seen in my lifetime,he seems to be on some kind of delusional mission against the erbal.He freaks me out bigtime.I quit growing several weeks ago to take care of my mom and my last grow blockhead pics sit in my computer,I was going to be brave since I was out of the game if I could figure out how to post them.Fortunately for me I'm an idiot,I probably can't delete them off my puter much less post them here lol

Zip, nada, nothing. You cant show proof of one marijuana operation affected by any of it. Imo spreading fear just for the sake of it is the same if not worse negative energy than the DEA could ever inflict.

Safe to also say that precedent seems to be the last judge of what you think they can do and what theyre within their rights to do. If there isnt case precedent to back any of your fear talk then maybe you should think twice before hollering fire when no one else sees anything but someone 'blowing smoke' up naive asses.

I agree this should be fixed pronto.

Earlier saw a thread with a signature "I'm watching you" and had some random externally loaded image.

I love how everyone passes off these little glitches as nothing, when A: It would be reasonably easy to fix, and B: little things add up to big things.

I think theres a setting in the browser to not load external images, I'll find out...

In firefox on the privacy tabe you can check "for originating site only", a subset of "load images"

And internet activity is considered wire tap evidence as it requires the use of your phone line. That's one of the reasons that the kiddy porn freaks get their computers siezed and searched, they cant use the sites download records. At least that's how I percieve the current situation. I dont think thats the way it works here. Here, any and all evidence must be presented in court. They cant hold back any evidence especially if that evidence was used to obtain a warrant. In my neck of the woods they wont issue a warrant without physical evidence so as long as my trash is spotless and I dont have any neighbor complaints Im good as gold no matter how much circumstantial crap any wiretap would dig up.

My internet like many others comes from the cable TV lines and is void of any phone system so Im not sure if that definition of wiretap applies. [ which is why I think they broadened the application of the term. ]

The reason the kiddie porn creeps get there shit seized is because theres specific laws regarding the electronic transfer of child pornography, an actual crime that law enforcement people on the internet are looking for. Which stands to reason that posting pictures of marijuana with anecdotes isnt. If it was we all would know about it.

I also dont think admin here is going to disable IMG tags because a few people 'think' they know it to be a security leak when the reality is that if it were a serious leak then why dont all surreptitious websites disable IMG tags?

When admin says they have disabled external img linking they mean they have disabled other websites to IMG link back to ICMag.

I feel safe here, but for us, safety is an illusion. Leo could come after us in this and many other ways, but we are not their targets, there are too many of us. Around here, local cop shops got more money for their computer units this year. Do not be suprised if you start to see areas where they will use comp info to bust folks. The rule of law has begin to break down at many levels due to the demons in charge. The drug task forces are becoming rabid possees here on the prairie. Fuck em, we are right, they are wrong!
