Starting 2 Week Flush... How do I use this Molasses?

I am starting the 2 week flush on my White Rhino and AK 48. I picked up some Blackstrap Molasses from the store tonight. Other posts I have seen about Molasses talk about using it in a tea combo.

Can I use the Molasses as the only additive with plain distilled water and see results?

Do I need to warm the water first?

yes you can and warm water just helps it dissolve better. Make sure to let it go to room temp before adding to rootzone - no temp shock

Do you flush your organic grown tomatoes before you pick them?

Never tried tomatoes but I suppose I would not flush them if I did. So you dont think a flush is necessary when using FF products? If I continue to feed FF nutes the last 2 weeks can I still add the molasses?

FF soils and nutes are not exactly "organic" contrary whatever the bag or container says.

IMHO for the last 2 weeks if you really want to use that mollases I say sure man flush, but do it with a mollases tea, 1tbs per gallon. bubble it in a bucket with an airstone, or just put 1 tbs in a gallon jug and shake well, obviously the airstone bubbling for 24 hrs or more works best.

How come your just now thinking about using mollases? kindof late. next time use it from the beggining of your grow. Look around the organics forum for tea recipies. Mollases goes well with pretty much anything, bubble it with kelp, fish emulsion, worm castings, guanos, the list goes on be creative and experiment with some good tea recipies, your ganja will taste much better with tea than it will with FF nutes. but then again some prefer dark beer and some prefer whisky.

Is this an Organic Thread , if so as said before you do NOT need to flush. You cannot flush Organics.

I feed all the way up to harvest. The last two weeks of flowering is when the buds put on a lot of weight. The plants need food during that time. You could use worm casting tea with molasses the last watering or two if you want. If you use nutes like bone meal, kelp meal, alfalfa meal or cotton seed meal you can't flush any of it out of the soil anyway.
Another beautiful thing about organic growing.

well not to step on any ones toes but, yes you can flush organically grown plants!! nature does it every season.... you get the nice spring rain to begin the cycle of watering the green earth to remove all winter kill, leaves, animals, bugs to begin the season and all of that feeds your plant through its life cycle for its groing season, at fall leaves drop from trees to begin the cycle again(compost) then the cooler temps and in some places snow covers the ground to aid in decomposition and flushing of everything from the top to put the nutrients(replenish) back in the root zone for this to continue again and again...

lots of people flush there organic and other. and for the comment of they need food all the way thats why the plant has leaves... they store alot of the mobile and in-mobile goodies that some time take up to 20 to 30 days to move through the plant, thus so your not cheating your peppers of anything!
flushed goods taste and cook alot better...
now as for molasses.... or carbs that you want to use are good from the 4th week on and as a flush is good also.. :joint:

experiment to your taste cause what works for me may not work for you.....
different strokes for different folks hope i helped in anyway... BE KIND!!!!!!! :canabis:

Thanks for info. Its to bad it can takes such a long time to experiment waiting for each harvest to see what your results are. Sometimes I wish I had 5 diffrent grows going on simultaneously so I could get more experience testing other methods.

I read in a post on another forum to use the Molasses during the 2 week flush instead of just using plain water. I did read about the teas using guano and other organics but it was a bit late in flowering to use the teas. Plus I thought FFOF and FF nutes were about all a person needed for a good grow, I was hoping the molasses would pack on a little extra weight.

If I make a tea using something like guano would I still use the FF nutes like Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom?

All truely organic fertilizers are a base of guano, fish, kelp, worm castings, manures, etc....basically what's used in most of the teas anyway. So basically if you have a good tea going for you then you don't need added ferts. Although, I personally have POM Fruit N' Flower and Marine Cousine mixed in the soil, lightly.

As for flush, I have to agree with both; it can be done but by far isn't necessary - taste prefference only. All my consumable plants are organic and I never flush but I have never harvested anything from a container either.

Edit: If you have more than 1 plant then flush 1 and not the other. See which you like better.
