I agree with your statement however, it's been beat to death on these forums. I prefer a nice leaching a couple weeks out, and plain water until she's done, as you described.

..when you run 4 gallons of water over a 2 gallon pot it feels pretty obscene...

this is how i flush if i used chem ferts i would flush {meaning} water with plain PH'd water like a normal watering for min 14 - 21 days your organic based 10-14 days. organic well my last 3 wks of flower is strictly guanos i slam them untill 3 waterings before chop. good rule of thumb i read here @ icmag is this.

when you flush and think its good enough cut a large fan leaf chew stem, if it's bitter flush longer check again few days. if it taste's like water and belongs on your dinner salad well then it's properly flushed!!

only time you would want to run 2-3 times amount of water to soil is when nutes are locked outta the rootzone!!

g/l on your 1st harvest pls remember the flush is only part of the finial things to do theres a proper hang dry untill branchs snap then cure in jars. making sure to remove jars lids every day 20-30 min's after approx 2 wks you'll be yea baby lol

Brother monk if the "assinine arguments" statement was dircted at me,please dont listen to a word I say,I wouldn't want my years of experience with soil grows wasted on someone with a closed mind.There is no argument here unless you'd like to make one,she asked about the proper way to "flush" a plant before harvest and I responded according to my experience,not from what people write or say over and over and over and over.
