Salmon on the smoker this evening. Went to town today to load up for the weekend. Got a slab of baby back ribs for tomorrow, a prime rib roast for Easter Sunday and some outside skirt steak for taco Tuesday.
Also grabbed a piece of pistachio cheesecake for dessert tonight.
Monday will probably be pot pie night. Or pb&j night.

DB, you have to somewhat careful around mice. When I first learned of the asbestosis I have and wanted to have a claim under the workers comp, I had to go through several tests of what might have caused my illness besides asbestos. That way the board could not come back on me saying it was something else. One of the things checked for was Hantavirus, a virus associated with mice.Hey bc friend!Haven't played the violin in some time, have to tune it. It's a pain. It seems to always go out of tune. I do play guitar though, I have a Fender Stratocaster. It's black and white. I was playing around and jamming by myself the other day. Shepherds Pie is darn good. Glad you'll be eating well buddy. Mom is over, she's convinced the mouse I feed is using my oven as a toilet. I just want some pizza. I took out the dough couple hours ago. Cheese and pepperoni. News is on. I don't have cable, I watch the local stations. Usually I'll watch NBC or Fox in the early morning when I get up and then around dinner time. Well Mom is at it with the oven. Convinced there's pee in there . Make the pizza! It's good having her over. She's 70 now. I'll be 45 in July. July 28. She's doing great though, no problems. She has COPD but she doesn't have any problems. Hope your cookies are hitting hard this Good Friday bc man! Have a great Easter buddy! Me and Mom might go to church Sunday at 10. Then we'll come over to my apartment and have brunch! Bacon and eggs and orange juice and danishes! Even a big piece of coconut cake for some reason. I won't complain.
Perhaps your familiar with the death of actor Gene Hackman, his wife died from hantavirus.
My Mrs is a mod for a COPD website, good thing your mom does not have serious issues. One of my life long friends died from COPD.
I just ate a piece of cookie with some Purple Punch in it. The particular plant this PP came from has a strong relaxing effect on me.
I dont think I know anyone who plays a violin, I do like the sound of a violin and have heard some incredible music coming out of a violin.

reds aren't my favorite for smoking,not enough fat for my taste...obviously i'm gonna say white winter kings make the best smoked followed by regular kings then silvers then reds...chum salmon is good for canning and not so bad for smoked,but otherwise fit only for husky food
yeah,i spent 12 years in coastal alaska,most of that time on a island...once you've had fish basically straight from the ocean you can't turn back...and i live in the desert,the fish in the markets here is just awful...dog food...i know a great place to order it from,but overnight express from homer alaska is ruinously expensive...
more than once at the restaurant i worked at i was filleting fish that were still alive right as the guest were arriving for dinner...boat is pulling up to the dock going right by where i'm loping off heads,jamming a knife into their bungholes and gutting them,filet the fish,run inside and finish cleaning and de-boning,portion them and straight on the grill...
hard to beat that...
That's a contrast...coastal Alaska to a desert environment.

Agreed can’t beat fresh. Prefer catching them myself but gifts from mates is always appreciated, giving away fish is a bit of thing in NZ after fishing trips.

also i had to come back here to take care of my dad and just got stuck here...
and it's one thing to jaunt off to alaska when you're young,when you're 40 and already semi-broken not so appealing...
Copper River season isn’t for another month yet. Looking forward to it.
No I was slumming it tonight with some farm raised. Actually was labeled Fjord sea trout but looks and tastes like salmon to me.

We spent a nice evening at a friends place sitting by a fire and smoking lots of hash.
My buddy's wife (our egg lady) has a tolerance like mine, so when we sit down together..........
Dragging ass today for sure, gonna be slow n steady.
No overnight rain so should be easy working
I just happen to have a tank that is not being used and several pond pumps.
I have used soaker hose buried in the mulch, but am thinking about using drippers on the new set up.
Do you ever fertigate, or just keep your soil healthy?

Gonna be sitting in with an old friend next weekend…we were in a band together from 1998-2011…This guy plays a mean fiddle (violin)…does an awesome job on Charlie Daniel’s tune “Devil Went Down To Georgia”
Yeah I think it was maybe the Adam dunn cut that I heard does that idk whichever one that is lol
