The tomatoes I transplanted have grown well. I'm surprised because they normally sit there after transplant. I figured out that transplanting when very young helps eliminate transplant shock. Where I have them is mid 50's, also doesn't help.

Well they did not miss a beat and have grown a solid inch or more since Friday. Might have nailed it for once lol
Do you ever give them any product to ward off transplant shock? But then, if you found that early transplanting worked well you wouldn't need to add anything. Please ignore this question then:)

don't know what your property is like, but you have to kind of be careful how you hang the cakes because the raccoons love them. I used to just hang them by a chain and I actually watched the raccoon pull the chain up open the basket and take the cake.

I live in Toronto's near-north burbs but we get a surprising array of wildlife for a city - thanks to the river valleys and electric/gas rights of ways that the animals use as corridors. So yes, we have coons here as well . . . and billions of squirrels. I put up the feeder in January and except for one valiant failed attempt, the squirrels have been frustrated. I suspended it from a 24” L bracket with a 24” thin piece of wire and 5 ft off the ground so it is out of reach of the bastards. Many of them visit every day to yell at it and to clean up any seeds on the ground but only one gray squirrel tried a leap from the window sill to the feeder. I have another bracket so I will attempt the same kind of mount with a suet basket.

Are you a Toronto Blue Jays fan? I'm going to see them play the Red Sox Thursday
