Those Morels made me hungry. Just had shiitake, mitake and Shimegi mushrooms cooked with garlic and butter on toast.

@oldmaninbc have you ever tried cats tails?
They’re a traditional Māori food source in NZ, I believe they are in Canada too(I saw them on a trailer park boys episode)
No have never eaten a cattails, they do grow around here, I believe I knew they were edible but have never tried them. Have to look in my book and see what it says about them.

I have to go my Mrs is giving me the look, where is my supper.

Will answer your other question tomorrow.

33 here and windy. Did some cleanup on the trails. Warming up and coffee break.

Yeah I should have been a weather man. Zero accountability, zero stress, 50% accuracy is more than acceptable. you could literally do the job by glancing out the window. Those bastards lol

I use an app called Dark Sky for all my weather stuff.

Morning!

Didn't sleep for crap and woke up hungry as fook. Had some leftover sauce in the fridge and whipped up some pasta, grated some cheese and buttered some bread. Hmm should have a salad.....yeah I pretty much just had a full pasta dinner for breakfast. 😂
Reminds of my late teens when I was working the night shift in a grocery store stocking shelves in New Jersey…The shift was from 10pm-8am five days a week…back then overtime was required usually 1.5 hours every night/day…working those hours really screwed with my timing….like having to sleep during the day….never knew when to do that…sometimes directly after getting out of work…most of the time staying awake during the best part of the day like normal people and stayin up...sometimes not sleeping at all and goin right back to work the next night…So getting out of work at 8am after working all night ya get quite hungry…So some of us would look for a restaurant to grab some breakfast????? Nah we need a freakin Ribeye steak dinner…Wait it’s 8am where the hell are we gonna get that hunk of 🥩…pretty much all them restaurants are closed…24 hour diners was the place to go to get dinner for breakfast…And like you Lester pasta was another favorite item on my breakfast menu along with some salad and gotta have them meatballs too!!!

I once did a night shift in a machine shop, 10-7. Got home made coffee and was like now what. That shift is a no go for me. I have to be up and ready to roll at sun up. I can't be going to sleep then. Well back to sleep or beer induced sleep but not as part of a routine.

My bro works the B shift. Dumbest shift ever. He works 3-1am. Gets home unwinds and goes to sleep when the sun comes up, gets up an hour before work. Zero life. I don't get it.

I could go for a ribeye right now..glad I ate all that this am, been busting my ass out there.

Working that graveyard shift kinda helped out my music life…gigs were usually 9-1…driving around an hour to get to the gig…2 hours every night setup time plus the hour or so tear down and the final ride home with a usual stop for coffee to shoot the breeze and then pull in the driveway about sun up…the difference being… playin music is a lot more fun than putting cans on the shelf anyday
