Neighbors checking on you ? Thats f'd if not.
No, my neighbors are definitely not checking on me. We all have an understanding, you leave me alone and I leave you alone. It's hard to say what happens at night. I did spot a guy walking through the other day though that I know isn't from around here. I figured maybe he was selling shit, but who knows.

Sell 100 burritos in a day you are doing ok.

So I'm really curious, what is in this burrito UNC?

I'm from a place that has zero chance in hell of having real Mexican. We have a restaurant I like but they look at me funny when I ask for hot sauce and they never have any.
mole chicken, sometime with rice and/or beans...mole is a sauce made with chile and chocolate at it's basic form, like all mexican dishes there are regional differences...
and i should be more clear and say we have excellent new mexican food here, there's also mexican food that's as regional as food is in the US...

look at them crosseyed and say "cho-lu-la!"

Lester I've made mole sauce before. This is the actual recipe I used. It's a bit of a pain in the ass, but it was good. If you want to try the mole sauce I would say go with this one. -

There was a cartoon back in the 60’s that aired on the Captain Kangaroo show called Tom Terrific and one of the characters was named Crabby Appleton (there was also a band named that in the late 60’s)…and one of the episodes Crabby had put into law to have a birthday every single day…so there was nothin but fun to be had…plus cakes and presents of course
I remember Captain Kangaroo and his buddy Mr. Green Jeans...oh my, that's back aways. Off hand I don't recall any single episodes.

Here's my new rig oldman. I didn't want a clock, timer, settings, light, etc. I barely...BARELY wanted a cord, thought about going old school stovetop for a minute. Settled on a simple 12 cup percolator.

And I just made my turkey pasta dinner :)

Oh, I like those perkolators, I remember them from my youth. Love the smell they give off and I think the coffee is good. At least for those of us who are not coffee connoisseurs.

I started drinking coffee when I was seven or eight years old. My grandmother was Italian so it was considered normal. I've loved it for a long time.

In the States we had a chain of grocery stores called A&P and they used to have coffee grinders at the end of every check out lane. I used to love walking into that grocery store, all you could smell was fresh ground coffee. Here's a picture of one of the old grinders. Good times :)

We had A&P here. It evolved into Metro which is my main grocery. And I do remember the grinders - but only in the coffee aisle. Their 8 O'Clock coffee - the red bag - is still my standard brand. I grind some everyday with a burr grinder and I brew it in a 4 cup cone filtered coffee maker. Melita gave me a free one years ago and I realized that the 4 cupper was perfect. Brew it and shut it off - never ever ever leave coffee stewing in a coffee pot because even 15 minutes will turn it into baked shit.

Evening Lester

Sounds like a good day at the “office” to me ….. enjoy 😊

What’re ya wake n baking on?

This Morning I went with Lemon Mints and a pinch of hash. It gives a solid upbeat git er done vibe thats perfect for mornings. Pretty sure I went one toke over the line though as I'm staring at my coffee and reading icmag rather than heading out to work lol. Couple more and I'm off!

My Ninja coffee pot lets me brew with a paper filter single cups all the way to a carafe. I grind enough for two strong cups. If I have only one cup, I store it in a coffee can for tomorrow. On second cup now. Colombian...brown sugar and cream. Delightful.

I didn't realize A&P made it into Canada. Here every checkout lane had a grinder, it was the cashiers job to grind a bag for you if you wanted one. The entire front of the store reeked of ground coffee :)

You can still pick up a bag of the 8 O' Clock here also, and I have been tempted to grab a bag since I started making my own coffee again.
