Back from the dentist. Have to go back on the 14th. The alternative, a mouth full of rotting teeth, is not something I want. I do hate the dentist though. About to get high. Hello everyone 
morning.. had my three month check up with the doc Yesterday situation is all he can offer me right now is physical examinations, inserting, scopes, etc.. The proper diagnostic tool is the pet scan. the insurance company won’t $ for the next one their position is that unless I’m exhibiting further symptoms, they won’t pay for it basically… this is a mixed bag it remains primary site unknown is the official diagnosis so I’m glad that I’m not rotting away, but it really could blow up at any time. just have to learn to live again my headspace has been so fucked up for an exceptional 24 months but I think I got past the hump, basically putting 1 foot in front of the other…

Glad to hear it hasn't progressed. I just paid to have Wifey's cat scanned out of pocket. Same price as a two year old Honda. The medical system is totally broken. Just keep diligent about blood work and scans, eat right, stay hydrated. Live life to the max!

Is that an old dog or just the markings of an older dog? Some old dogs just take it all in and are very chilled out and loving. Some get old and cranky from arthritis but still lovable as can be.

When I first found this thread I was delighted buy the laid back nature of it. I hope it does not become messy with anger/hatred. The world is crazy place and it's nice to find a place to engage with others over this that and the other. While being civil and thoughtful of your words.
I started getting muscle cramps last year from a couple different reasons, one was not drinking enough water. My doctor reminds me to drink enough water especially as we head to hotter weather. Muscle cramps are painful best avoid them if possible. It's good to hear there has been a positive shift in your well being.

Yes he is old. We rescued him 15 years ago and do not know his true age. The vet said he was between 1-3 when we got him. He is the most human like dog I have ever met. He went deaf 5 years ago and we quickly established hand signals and he communicates. He has many health problems, cancer, blown out back knees, etc but is not in pain, acts like a puppy at times, and hikes nearly everyday even without both back ACLs. I consider every day we have together a gift.
