Yup, the world has gone mad. Another few years and 100k will be the window sticker on this stuff. Yet the streets are full of them. I ask and ask and ask how the hell does everyone do it?
I had to replace my soil medium this year because what I usually used was no longer available when the grow shop closed it's doors. There is a few companies that produce cannabis soil, one I would have to buy in quantity, I don't want to buy it buy the yard and the other place with a good organic mix is a 2 hr drive from here and I don't drive.
So I settled for another option and this is how the new mix did in veg and in bloom the tallest plant.
In 5 gal plastic containers with a generic mix of peat and perlite and 30% compost, 10% EWC etc.
I am going to try a stronger mix of the compost on the next grow this is a work in progress as it is new to me.
I seen you talking about soil mixes on another thread yesterday, that's why I brought it up.

^^^ Yes sir I am going to give up on the soil bags. I am either going CoCo or ProMix. Still haven't made my mind up yet which one. They will be mixes with watering and top dressing only.

Your garden is looking good Oldman (y)
My new mix is very strong and I gave it 1 tbsp of Power BLoom by Gaia and caused clawing leaves, it will take some time to understand the new mix. I seen photos on the composts companies web site and they show healthy vigorous tomatoes growing the whole season without adding anything to their container mix.

In my old age I really need to find something(soil blend) that takes little thought and effort but produces adequate results.
I usually don't mind change but when it comes to changing my soil blend afte using it for 15 years, that sucks.
