"Chasing the dragon" (CTD) (traditional Chinese: 追龍; simplified Chinese: 追龙; pinyin: zhuī lóng; Jyutping: zeoi1 lung4), or "foily" in Australian English,[1] refers to inhaling the vapor of a powdered psychoactive drugoff a heated sheet of aluminium foil. The moving vapor is chased after with a tube (often rolled foil) through which the user inhales.[2] The "chasing" occurs as the user gingerly keeps the liquid moving in order to keep it from overheating and burning up too quickly, on a heat conducting material such as aluminium foil.

Tin foil was a weed smokers best friend back in the day.

I remember doing time foil spots down back alleys with the boys on a Friday night.

Weed used to come wrapped in tinfoil too, it was called a tinny and cost $20.
It Would range from 1gm of wet indoors from a gang run tinny house up to 5+gm of Seeded bush weed.
Occasionally you’d buy an ounce wrapped up like a shiny silver poo too.

Was tin foil wrapped herb a thing in the US?

when i started buying weed it was 20 bucks for a big handful in a brown paper lunch bag...then it was four fingers in a cheap plastic sandwich bag...then it was sold by actual weight, usually weighed on a ohaus trip beam stolen from a high school chem lab....that's where mine came from,it's a legacy scale, many many drugs of various types weighed on that thing...

that's why i weigh my ounces to 30 grams even now with a digital scale...no tare function to subtract a container so it was easier to just bump the 10g weight up 3 notches than do the math...

lol.. yes mee too I always rounded up my numbers in an effort to keep the arithmetic easy And keep them happy in case they ever actually did weigh it out
same here, but my rational was the tax factor. often people would be buying for others and I figured by the time it got to the end user it’d be an O and everyone would be happy :)

My first bona fide sinsemilla was sent to me from Berkeley California in the spring of 1981 just in time for the spring, grateful dead tour(you know, there’s an entire culture of Grateful Dead heads went on to become Cali growers we owe them a debt of gratitude) very large lime colored green buds not real dense with dark red hairs. It was $200 for an ounce which was an obscene amount of money at the time I remember being a little bit disappointing, but it sure was a status symbol.
