i thought brussel sprouts were just decorative items to keep your freezer from looking empty...do people actually cook and eat the nasty things ?Burning a pot dry is bad enough but one with Brussel sprouts? I hope you threw the pot out . . .

turning a pretty piece of black walnut or red cedar is a pleasure long remembered...
My uncle was a provincial judge and one of those colourful larger than life sort of people. He presided over a case of a man convicted of illegally cutting down a black walnut tree on Crown land. Somehow . . . my uncle ended up with an 8” thick slab of it for a coffee table.
and justice was served... 
Right. She could have got a lot more doing them one by one with a portable mill. Whatever. There gone. It's nice to have the grove of them, or what's left of them. They left behind all the tops. Some of them are huge. Firewood forever

My wife bought pans years ago with lifetime warranty. We have sent in old ones a few times and always got brand new replacementsstill have some brand new unused, frying pans. I’m afraid to get them dirty
it's a good carving wood as well...holds detail well...not quite as easy to work as mahogany....and zebra wood is good for carving
