Nice score

If that chem has the weird leaf splotches (latent hops viroid) don't use the same scissors on that as you do other strains. I was able to keep mine from infecting others for quite a few years. Everyone I shared it with was not as lucky. Eventually I got tired of having a special needs plant.

Hopefully you got a clean one.

Had hplvd in my garden as well. Shut down last November, cleaned, took a couple months off and started over from seed recently. Always thought the chemdog trait was just a type of variegation though. Comes though in her progeny as well. Although they do say that hplvd can be passed to offspring. It just looked different than that in my garden. All I no is that it sucks!

I can definitely be spread by sharing scissors.
ClonesI hate taking in clones it makes me nervous is all fucking hell but I was told that these are virus free and it’s up to me to keep on top of it with a spray so yeah fingers crossed right now they’re isolated

I just never had any symptoms that looked like the classic verification of the chem cutting. It was a different kind of chlorosis. Plus weak stems, they would snap off at the main stem so easily, horizontal instead of vertical growth, low strike rate with clones, and the flowers just werent the same anymore. It didnt effect every plant, sometimes 2 cuts of the same variety would perform different. I too got sick of dealing with it, I wouldnt give out clones anymore because of it, unfortunately it lead to some varieties being lost. Had multiple folks say they would do tissue culture for me, but it never happened.

Luckily it's easy to spot and either there or it isn't. When I was given mine I was told it had tobacco mosaic virus and to not share scissors and I would be fine. A few years later it was correctly identified as latent hops viroid.

Anyways, Dead&co in a couple weeks at Wrigley field. Looking forward to it!
Going to frog brigade in a couple weeks and have tickets to wolf bros and string cheese in September. No dead and co or phish for me this summer. Unless I decide last minute. Probably make up for it with several bike rides.
