communist!I never really got into Rush that much
Ha, i remember trippin out to that tune.
Getting on to the 80s, Guns and Roses was pretty good.
Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty.
It wasn't the Who, but I liked it.
I admit I liked “sweet child of mine” https://youtu.be/1w7OgIMMRc4
I was thinking about that one too when I was thinking of my bong going on vacation.
edit.
My son is mid 20s and a guitar player. He thinks Rush is cool and said they grew on him.

let me know when he can play "la villa strangiatto"
I bet there was at least one of you there with me who saw Clapton perform at SPAC on 8/19/92, when he opened the show with "White Room" and closed it with "Sunshine of Your Love"!

I recognize the Songbird.
Nice!
He's got a collection too. I guess it's a thing for players to have a collection and a tube amp.
American Strat deluxe, American Tele deluxe, Martin, Taylor 12, and a couple Spanish guitars.
For the last few years he's been mostly into nylon string. Nice that he's still got a couple here. Sometimes when he visits he'll break one out and play for us. No recording or fancy stereo can match that. And watching someone who is good at picking is really something.
Eddie Van Halen used to perform with his back to the audience in order to hide his guitar fingering technique so that nobody could copy it..How many could even if they tried?I've been listening to a lot of VanHalen since Eddie passed.

You guys gotta checkout Eric Clapton’s song “Let It Rain” performed by The Doobie Brothers and Peter Frampton...it was released a couple months ago...all done virtually by the way including Billy Payne from Little Feat playing keyboards...those guys definitely sound like they had fun doing it...sorry I didn’t put a link up but it’s easily searchable
Lowell George was also the producer for the grateful dead 1978 studio album “shakedown Street” & studio outtakes of him performing with the band circulate...They’re really good together , you wouldn’t think they make a good mix but they made a fantastic mixJoni Mitchell had polio as a kid and her hands were handicapped. She taught herself to play and created several cords because she could not manipulate her fret hand the normal way. Some of her self made chords she did by placing her fret hand above the neck and reaching down to the fret board. She had to compose to accommodate these hand motions. She did allot of weird minors for accents.
I saw Lowell George in a Providence club not long before he died. Really like Little Feat.

Lowell got the boot from Frank Zappa for drugz. Zappa was zero tolerance . When I saw Lowell near the end it was obvious. He was in tough shape.
None the less, I still listen to Little Feat often.
I heard about the impromptu concerts the Dead did in SF, Golden Gate Park. I'll bet those were pretty great.
