I got a tree guy coming over. He’s gonna drive me over to the farm. We’re gonna check out this large stand of scotch pine that I have in the back that I want to drop.

It is nice to see the sun after the gloomy snowy last several days.

Been doing tree work on my property. The dead Ash trees. Have taken down 84 with about that left to do. A lot of work but it will result in a lot of lumber and firewood.

Looking forward to seeing pics of your farm.

60 minutes had a nice feature on David Byrne last night. Worth a watch if you have the capability.
Oh I got Internet obviously when I moved the farm it’s going to be a completely dead zone I don’t know how I’m going to adjust but I think I will adjust well because you cannot hear anything but mother nature I swear to god there’s not even cars that drive by maybe once in a while a while

Stumps must be staying? If that is the case I would rent or hire an excavator operator to push those down and stack to burn. Cheaper and faster than sawing them all. Also have stump digging option with the machine already on site.

I think 6k is a high price if leaving the stumps. 4 sounds more appropriate imho.

Excavator prob cost half of that with operator.

I thought 6K was high as well as well ? he won’t be taking the stumps I’m gonna have them cut as flush as possible ..It’s in a kinda inaccessible area for machinery. So he’s going to cut everything and then burn everything.

So I got the tree guy because he was working on my neighbors house in the village and when we were driving over the farm, he said when he was already up in the tree, he could smell weed from my house wafting over

With no machinery I agree with lester thats a lot of work. I am about to rent a 6-7 ton excavator with a thumb for a month to run water and power further back for $3k. If you could get it back there you could push them over and pay a saw man by the hour to cut them in manageable pieces to burn as you stack them. It would be fun. Probably wouldn’t take two days. Removing the stumps makes it much easier to do anything with it later like bush hog or build anything. Its 5 times the work to dig up a stump as it is to push over the tree.
