Get prepared for a long winded and voice dictated post with no punctuation... first of all I hope no one gets offended or offputting because I always talk about weed and selling & money and blah blah blah .. I don’t wanna come across as an asshole , it’s what I do and want to talk about it , also there’s lots other people out there that do the same thing... Its what I do aand primarily got me by over the last 25 years Through thick and thin ... Right now things are thick ,, and I have a feeling they’re going to get much thicker . had a really busy day & brought product over to one of my guys in a local rural area , he’s a very good outlet and I love him dearly his name is Thomas he won the New York State harvest fest last year , so anyway he took Mac and Platinum Dosi, I gave him 24 ounces for a little bit over $3000 which is a very very good deal for him ! ... so he said down in the city (which is still a small city ) there are already 14 sticker shops up and running .. after I left his place as & was driving through the aforementioned area on my way to score some groceries spotted a store with the marijuana leaf logo out front low and behold there’s an active shop so I went in and looked around and talked to the guy and said can I show you what I have ? and he goes well how much is it ? and I said five dollars a gram , and he laughed & said no no I can’t work with that I can’t work that no one‘s going to buy it I can’t work with that , I said please just let me show you what I got .. I went out to my truck I brought him back a few sample nugs which he looked over under a magnifying glass he didn’t say anything then he said OK bring me what you got and I said do you have a shopping bag because I don’t wanna go walking for my truck to your store caring two large tubs he said don’t worry about it but he gave me a large bag anyway OK so I go out to the truck & stuff up the bins start walking back, come face-to-face with a police car two cops in front staring at me they caught me red-handed they looked at me and kept going so I look around and I realize that the marijuana shop is directly across the street From the cop shop and when I got back inside I said cop just pulled by stared at me and the proprietor laughed he goes I don’t worry about them they’re ok everything is totally cool the cops don’t care ..as a matter fact they help me out when I had a burglary..OK OK OK I said I showed him the product again and he had to explain to me that no one’s going to pay extra and it doesn’t matter how good it is but he was willing to take some off my hand anyway so I sold him a quarter pound Mac for $550 ... we exchanged numbers and then I went on my way , when I got home there was two messages on my answering machine I called him back he said bring me everything you got! Seven out of 10 customers took it already and then a few cheapskates passed on it ..So I basically sold directly to a retail outlet ... Let’s just say I’m happy
there was a news story here about a good size portion of the legal crop getting rejected in testing for mold,bugs,and pesticide residue...at least where i was working everything passed...gotta find out where it's being sold,i'd like to see how it came out...thc percentage was good,numbers that are believable like high 20% range...
I think I already mentioned it but the state had to drop the test requirements and left it up to the legal growers themselves (unbelievably ) they’re so slow issuing and that’s the reason all these potshops are opening because they’re not waiting I’m sure they would love to pay taxes but they’re just not issuing the licenses…
from what i've heard about some of the local ops they're lucky they haven't had their licenses pulled...of course it's just as likely they'll go bankrupt if they're having to destroy crops...and that has to be done on camera and filed with the state
^^^ so far the New York cannabis commission has been unable to implement an expedient legal system … If the cops don’t care nor does flower

So New York State is basically a free for all now. I was in Cuse for 8 years starting in 2000. Always loved the vibe of upstate NY and plenty of good bud too. It was obvious that the farmers would be subsiding their income with MJ not to mention all the Canadian product getting run all over the country through the reservations. Commonplace for 50 lbs to be muled around in anybodies car at any time. I wasn't too well connected but certainly played my part in the hippie/festival culture.
I read NYC had plenty of shops openly selling - didn't know it extended to other parts but that is not surprising in the least. As I said, its been kind of a known thing as a counter cultural and economic investment for the quasi-depressed rural areas like around the finger lakes and the college kids/towns are a great customer base.
Hope you fall into better times - its tough out there. Glad you picked up some additional business!
