Tabulating some of the wattage for example there’s an 800 W heater out for the goldfish 300 gallon stock tank that runs 24 seven that’s sucking some power & spinning the dials, I found that out yesterday … fish is co$ting electric …

I like the creamy nature of a well cooked poached egg. I put them over toast or an english muffin. I really like a salad with them. The creamy poached eggs over toast and a crunchy salad go perfect together.

Some times we eat them on meatless days or with bacon.

You my friend may well enjoy a ceaser salad

That’s an affordable grow and economical. I don’t know how you do it, but you do it and you keep on doing it very well.

i'm stuck is why...the honey pot syndrome...i really wanted that honey,but now the pot is stuck on my head!

I have a 80 lbs Sulcata tortoise that lives inside for the winter. Has his own 650watt cmh and florescent uv desert bulbs 4 footers times 8.

I've lived in several places around the country and I feel I live in the best place for me. I love the seasons and everything else except the cost. It's a trade off I guess, no matter where you live.

Can you bring the fish inside and not have to run the heater so hard?

I love it here for the same reasons that you do but it’s getting expensive in New York (I don’t know why I would think it would be any different anywhere else to be honest) The goldfish are impossible to bring indoors everything else is already indoors for the winter

This is my five year old red eared slider female primarily aquatic but she does need to dry off every single day if possible ...Believe it or not they can go as long as 40 years or more the longevity in turtles and tortoises is phenomenal

You really got it going on ! I went through two bowls full last night on mine , I’ll probably go through three or more today as my hunger builds

I should have that goldfish stock tank insulated and sealed if I was to be real conservative about heat loss but to be honest they do go in the cold weather dormancy a bit I’m gonna try and maintain it at 60° I dial down the heater as much as possible plus it’s the oxygenation in the water which is more important than the actual temperature during the winter so I set up a fountain

I don't heat my outdoor fish pond. I throw a bubbler in the water to leave a hole in the ice. The fish have been in there for years and do just fine. They go dormant (torpor), don't eat, don't swim, they are just there waiting for spring.

Had to check it but indeed goldfish live just well in the 0-22 celsius range, didnt know this!

Goldfish can also grow very big google told me.

There is no ice on my pond at the moment, but you get the idea. These fish have been in here for about fifteen years.
