Stank Security Problem / Solution?

Backstory:

So here's my dilemma, and please feel free to post any suggestions. This site has been an incredible blessing to me as far as information goes so any extra guidance on this specific issue is certainly appreciated.

I'm currently scoping out condo's for a potential grow. Some have central air conditioning and some do not. Before anyone tries and talks me out of doing it in a condo please understand that a ton of people do it in Vansterdam here in Canada and it's not a huge deal as long as the show is enclosed in a sealed environment.

The show will only contain approximately 3x1000 hps I was originally planning on investing in a water cooled air conditioning unit to control the temps inside the room as that way the environment will be totally controlled. theses water controlled a/c units are pricing in at $3,300 CDN however and so I have been researching alternatives.

One of the alternatives I've looked at and would like some advice on is the option of using a condo's central a/c unit to supplement one of those less powerful but extremely economical portable a/c's

Question: By using a building's central a/c system though, would I be exposing myself to smell risks?

It is my understanding that the humid air that is cooled from an air conditioner is very stinky and I wouldn;t want anyone in teh building to smell anything even if they couldn't pinpoin it directly to my unit.

If so, would it be effective to rig some sort of carbon filter over the a/c intake vent?

FYI -- This would be in addition to the large carbon scrubber I'm planning on using for the room anyways and to use a number of Ona units to help conceal smell as well.

I would love to hear anyone's thoughts and would especially love to hear from someone that has faced a similar challenge and how they coped...

Ozone and carbon scrubbers should do it for you either way you go. I would be more worried about someone walking in for an inspection if you do not purchase the unit. If you rent a condo, be sure you have some assurance that it will not be shown by your friendly real estate agent at anytime during your lease. Been there done that, not during a grow mind you but those agents just seem to think they can walk in when they feel like it.

When the AC is off smell WILL leak back through the vents, so I'd advise maybe a motorized damper that allows you to close it off when it's dark in the room, or maybe put the damper on a t-stat so it only opens when it gets hot in there and the ac is blowing anyway. You might be able to filter it but the airflow losses would be significant, if not complete.

Oh yeah, another solution is to just run a big carbon scrubber in your room 24X7, so the room tself is always odorless. That way leaks dont smell, no matter how they occur.

Regarding the ozone and carbon scrubbers, I'm planning on using a large carbon scrubber for the entire room. Where would you place the ozone or carbon scrubber to make sure no leakage?

Thanks for the advice re inspection, I agree 100%. I'm trying to make sure that nobody is planning on selling anytime soon and changing the locks. Also, planning on having a system that can be moved fairly easily within the 24 hour mandatory notice to tenant period we have here anyways

Yes, the plan is to run a large carbon scrubber for the entire room and to use those Ona scent masking accessories as well.

So do you think that with that then there shouldn't be an issue with having the smell coming through the central a/c? I would think that possibly some smell would still be able to escape since the central a/c intake is competing with the carbon scrubber intake fan for the room.

Just trying to cover all angles. Any advice is always appreciated guys :)
