^^^^ Plants grown from seed usually grow slightly different further down the line when they are grown from clone, can't be sure if that's what is going on with you bro but it does happen. Sounds like it has improved, SSSDH is some of my favorite weed, my favorite haze for sure.

That I think is exactly what happened. The clone took on a more complex, sweeter, more lemony/sweet resin covered smell and look. Not as much of a yield but the taste and high I bet will only get better. I do have a bunch more seed of her that I will run in the very near future. After I get through some more of CSG's gear. Im running some "Fuel" I think would cross well with the Critical+ if I get a male Fuel. (just by the descriptions).

Heres some pics of the clones 72 days into flower.
Today will be exactly week 11. 1 more week to go.

Topping them 2x was a bad idea. I think what OJD said about vegging them for only 1 week from clone and not topping them would be the best way to go for this strain. I have 6 tops on each plant that are flopping everywhere unless I stake them all. LOL.

a trick with the sssdh is to give her an extra flush compared to normal and she will give you new flavours you didnt taste before

less flush she is more ssh dom but more flush she takes on a whole lot more complex smells and taste

i flush for 3 weeks and want it yellow as a banana

Thank You for the advice OJD. They are at week 11 and I started flushing last week so it will be exactly 3 weeks of flushing. I try to under feed all my strains the entire time, so I see abit of yellow early on. By the time its at week 10 the leaves are half yellow. Then with the last 2 weeks of flushing they are as yellow as a banana.
I cant wait to taste the new flavors that popped up with the clones genetic drift.
They are soo extremely sticky right now.
I'll be harvesting 4 SSSDH and 4 SSH within 1-2 weeks, and then the 9 SSSDH's which are in their 5th week of flower now will be put under that lamp and Ill fill in the other lamp with 26 Critical+ & BlueSharkTooth clones done SoG.

btw, do you think topping reduced yield? or just made more hassle for keeping the floppies under control?

Wicked stretch gnome, and I mean the stretchiest plant Ive grown to date.
Its better to either grow them from seed with no topping because of major floppies,
OR...
Grow the clones for 7 days and flip to 12/12 without topping.
But the main thing is...controlling the floppies if you top, which def does not help in the yield department. Much smaller, whispier buds. Not much bag appeal. If you dont top, the buds will be much bigger and tighter with 0 floppies and alot more bag appeal.
Mines smells like a super strong lemon-sugar smell.

Also...the clones took longer to finish than the mom.

now that you tell me about not topping, seems like all the sssdh grows Ive seen were not topped. its a beautiful thing to see a roomful with 20 or more of these with big fat mainstem cola's sticking up

Thats how to grow em gnome! Straight up. No topping. This is what happens to the bottom buds if topped.(even after stripping 1/3rd of the bottoms. Whispy airy buds)
And this is what happens to the tops when topped. (gets smaller but still awesome)
You can see the leaf curling up from the humidity levels at 43%rh.

The taste isnt overpowering like a pure Sour Diesel.
Its like lemon-sugar. Thats the best way I can describe the pheno I got. Im sure there are better or different tasting phenos....Im not sure yet though cauze Ive only grown out 2 phenos. The potency is strong and it will make you cough if you get greedy.
I have more beans to find some different flavors still.

Holy Shit!!

I have 2 S1's, from Rez, on day 31. I germinated 6 of the 12 in the pack, and 4 of them either rotted or or the shell fused to the cotyledons forever, and even with 2 tweezers they were destroyed. I am a pretty good surgeon when it comes to poorly germinated seeds, but I think the age of these S1's caused them to rot.

All good though, i got these(and the 10 OGGhostTrainHazes, 10 MoonshineHazes, 6 The WhiteOG's) growing like wildfire under my 6 bulb T5 array. I am gonna turn the light down to 18/6 in a few days to sex the M/F plants.

Alone. I need some advice regarding these fem SSSDH's.

My plan is to transplant them into 3 gallon Smart Pots as soon as the root mass in the

4 x 4 x 6" squares is dense enough should be any day now. In about two weeks(45 days since germed) they will go into flower, a 1200w purpose built vert room. The room is
4.5" x 4.5' wide, and 5.5' tall, with a can66 and 8" Exhaust fan, plus a 6" active intake.

i need to have each plant fill a 3.5' wide, 4' tall metal screen. Should I "top" and take clones the normal way, or take clones from the lowest branches, keeping the plant untopped, as we have been discussing over the last page. I need each screen to yield 8 oz's.

let me know what you think. Getting excited about flowering these new seeds.
