And here on same weekend Dec 8&9 is my Mr Nice SuperSilverHaze girl. She is on Day 22 of 10/14 flowering. Really nice plant to grow.

Transplant day Dec 9th

Here is my Skunk Haze again.

Here is a picture of how I trimmed off all the nodes but these two. Growth from then was topped twice and supercropped as well.

another shot of her

Here she is repotted

Here is a picture of the 1gal/hr dripper I tied to the main stem. I made a neat little rig that will water my two plants over about an hour to 2 hrs. I can go away for up to a week or more and not worry. It watered my plants twice while I was a way last week. I can use it in a "manual" mode too. Turn it on and walk away....avoiding a tedious watering task. It waters very slowly (very important IMO) and that ensures that the soil mass is evenly watered. I'm using a sort of prototype right now. I'm making a new one that is more accurate and easier to adjust the volume delivered. I'll have pictures of it asap. It's nearly bombproof for its intended use.

Transplant day for my SSH too :)

Here she is on Day 23 of 10/14 just before final transplant to 11L pot

Root structure was very healthy. Roots have pretty much filled this 3L pot from top to bottom. The gradual potting up, this is the 3rd transplant, helps ensure that the root mass fills most of the pot volume. You'll see roots within 1cm of the soil surface here. And I can assure you that the roots are well dispersed. And I might note that it should be obvious that CLEAR pots are not the deadly enemy some people claim they are :sasmokin: This is my 3rd grow using them. Newbies might want to consider using clear pots so they can learn how roots grow and what good root structure looks like. Just my opinion, but I'm stickin to it.

after transplant

buds at 23 days

and she has a dripper too.

The Skunk Haze is behaving ok. looks like it is done stretching.

The SuperSilverHaze is being a stretchy girl and NOT behaving. She is still growing UP :(

Bump..My thread is working again

:sasmokin:

I respectfully disagree with going from solo cups to big pots. I think I posted my repotting theory here or somewhere. I'll try to find it.

The Skunker haze appears to have stopped stretching...unless repotting revives her. Lets hope not. She is going to be a massive bush as it is. Her canopy is looking to be pretty even. I may have to put her pot on a block to get it up more even with the SSH girl. That SSH is one vigorous plant.

I had to put 4 bamboo stakes in my SSH pot. I had to tie some of her longer stems over. She was headed toward the lights according to a friend that has grown many SSH plants. LST'n her was my only option at this stage. She looks all tangly now :(

I'm still learning how to grow these sativa/haze hybrids in my small space. I got too impatient as usual. I germed the seeds too early. That caused me to veg longer than I wanted. The Skunk Haze worked out OK. Unless it takes off again it will come in nicely. Shanti's SSH is another matter. You simply shouldn't veg them at all if growing in a small space like my hut. The genetics are too powerful in SSH unless you get the shorter Northern Lights pheno. That's not saying it can't be done because I think I'll have a plant and harvest. BUT, I can't recommend doing it this way. It's time consuming keeping up with plants like these. I like doing it, but it is work. I never felt that my plants were "out of control" when I grew Ice and Aurora Indica. I didn't need to do anything except feed/water them and watch them growinto miniture 4 foot trees. Maybe it's me. Maybe I'm stoned. maybe maybe...It's just with this SSH it seems I just can't get where I think I can relax for 3 days running. Maybe now that she's all tied down, once more, I can take some time and just watch them grow. They got ferts today. Both needed Nitrogen, the Skunker moreso. I hate seeing yellow leaves, even if they are the old lower ones. ramble ramble... I need to go. Hope all of your grows are going well.

IMO it is difficult to keep a 3-5 gallon soil mass evenly moist when it has a 12" plant in it. And then the plant usually just forms roots on the sides and bottom of the pot and the majority of soil goes barren of roots.

However, if you have success with that method then good on ya!! :sasmokin:

Here's one of my repotting posts saying why i like potting up several times.

You got a green thumb, MT and do a real nice grow report. SSH is on a very short list. Mine if I pull up a chair?
