I absolutely trust no one and no one knows that I grow! I have pin cameras at all egress/entry ways (doors and windows for laymen), though they are not there for the police so much as everyone else. If the police show up, they will just knock the door in.

They are there for the nosey neighbors and (hopefully never) the would be thief. Got them hooked up with motion detectors so that I can view who's on my porch (or peaking through my windows) from my laptop, no matter where I'm at and looking into a way to have my cameras call my cell phone so I know to pop open my laptop to see who's at my house...

Now that I think about it, maybe I will post some on a couple of telephone poles down the block and around the corner; so I will know when the Po Po are on the way...

Hey philli007,
what brand of cameras do you use? I am going to set up a similar system to what you describe and was looking at X10 since they are cheap and get the job done, despite their horribly intrusive adversiting! They also offer the web server software to monitor the cams via a web browser, which is huge for me since I am gone a lot and like to keep a watch on my house.
