Spores or what?

So I have some WW clones cut from my first grow and I was checking the root growth and noticed these yellowish-white clusters of what I am only guessing are spores beneath the soil surface. I checked all the cups and they all appear to have this going on beneath the soil surface.

So is it time to panic or what?

Have you taken some of those out by any chance?
Spores are NOT That big, they are big enough to see the naked eye most of the time, but they won't be like that....

DId these just pop up out of nowhere?
THey look like they are perlite balls, spores are not completely round and perfect like that........ They are also nearly identical in size which spores come in different sizes and can be wiped...... have you taken any of them out? If not I Would, cause from the pics and info you provided it does not look like spores.

I am not sure where they came from. I hadn't really been checking the root progression that much after I was sure they had rooted, which was a few weeks ago. I just checked them today out of curiosity and noticed this going on in one of the cups and started checking all of them. They all have it to varying degrees and at various depths in the soil.

I am pretty sure this isn't perlite as you can see the large white perlite chunks around these things.

I haven't tried digging these out of the soil yet.

I am using 2 parts Pro-Mix BX with 1 part vermiculite and 1 part perlite.

See, it could be smaller perlite chunks, if you added perlite if you go to the bottom of the bag the smaller pieces are at the bottom so it looks more like perlite than anything else.

I was pretty sure they weren't there in the start, but I can't say for sure. They appear to be a different color than the larger white chunks of perlite.

If it was smaller chunks of perlite would they rise up through the soil and cluster like that from watering maybe?
