Spontanica (KC Brains).

I got some mango seeds through Dr chronic years ago. They were the smallest seeds I ever seen. I tried to pop 2 or 3 in a paper towel. They never did. I tried 1 or 2 straight in soil. They never came up. I may try the last few some day. But I doubt they will sprout. I really wanted some mango goodness.

wayne, I purchsed some mango by kc many years ago and they were small as well. I dont think Size of the seed corresponds with size of plant. Sounds like your seeds sat on a shelf for a few years.

lost,

Ive read conflicting reports on the viability of his strains. Personally I have not had any problems but have only grown out two strains of his from breeder packs, TNR & MANGO. 100% germ rates. Lots of mom and pop seed dispensers have popped up all over and some dont move many seeds and thats not good for us customers. Im not saying KC hasnt let old seeds go in the past Just that I havent got any so far and breeders are not always at fault for low germ rates. Can you tell us where you procured your seeds?

Yeah I know. They were dark and looked mature. For the price I would give them another try. When I ordered those back then. There were alot of people complaining about germ rates. As well as people having no problems at all. I'm sure the bad reports and low prices keep alot of people from ordering from them. Which leads to stock sitting for a while. From what I seen when they grow their gear produces nice plants. And I only ordered one pack of ten and didn't try them all. After the first 5 didn't pop I used other seeds I had at the time I was going to run anyway.

Low prices Ill say. The place I score is $16.35per Breeder
pack of 10 regs. It sucks, but we are a third party when
receiving these seeds. alot of breeders dont
sell retail, or sell to certain areas of the world. so we are
forced to buy them from a retailer.

i`m running now : kc 36, mango and leda uno. 100% rate of germination , each pack of ten popped !

I started them on 20/4 , and now they are all at 2 meters high, some of them turned out to be real monsters.

I`m growing in guerilla style. It is my first grow.

Do not worry , the prices are low because he is an anti capitalist, but the quality is there !!

Make your bet, you wont lose !

Grew out 2 spontanica years ago inside and 1 was small 3 ft and finished in 8 weeks. The other one got huge but never budded even after 2 months 12/12. Ended up trashing it because it was getting to big. The smoke was only average. Should have gone outside but it got to big to quickly.
Hope that helps

My spontanicas had a weird crinkle leaf mutation, looks like it's being attacked by something but they all had it. The one big successful one, once it snapped out of the mutation it grew like crazy now it's the biggest plant in the garden.
I tried Leda Uno, a few were small and scraggy but a couple grew like crazy into huge sweet sativa monsters.
Some of his seeds were crappy dried out white barely viable some were just fine. I figure for the cheap price you get what you pay for.
Nothing I've tried was super exceptional, as an outdoor grower I appreciate the hardiness and disease resistance. Also I like that these are sativas that are done in September and October a bit different than what everyone else sells.
I'll post again in a month when I'm smoking it and let you know what I think. I'd avoid his less popular strains as they have probably been sitting around for a long time and have lost most of their viability.

Hi Folks ,im just checking out the KC seed strains after just growing out a great KC45 that I received in an order as a free seed.
I grew a KC45 along side two Cluster bombs and an AK47. The KC45 was a strong plant from the get go and the sugar leaves were covered in white after just 3 weeks of budding as was the AK47..
At harvest ,9 weeks , the Buds of the KC45 were waxy the plant smelt very potent.. it grew to a height of only about 3 feet tall {in 60litre tub in door}but it was a beautifully formed plant and solid.
After harvesting .. it yielded an oz more then the AK47..
I cured it four only 4 weeks before letting my mates know it was ready for the smoking along side the other 2 strains.. {cluster bomb and AK47} .. everybody that tried these three strains all agreed that the KC45 was the best smoke.. in that it was very smooth to smoke and had a great hit.. its a pick you up smoke that slightly gets the heart going but not in a dramatic way. Its just pleasant.. I firstly smoked just a hit or two and the effect was nice.,. the after a beerz I finished the doobie and found myself to be having very nice head rushes like my brain was being massaged :).
I do recommened this Strain, as it has a great relaxing but pick effect a good yield and is a good strong vigorious plant.. plus everybody loved it and couldn't get enough.

ordered 12 spontanica reg. seeds at 2.00 each and got 7 females. they are almost all identical. i started germinating the seeds on 3-24-15. they all sprouted on the 29th of march. i put them on 18/6 for for 3 weeks. then 12/12 to sex for 9 days. removed 5 males, and went back to 18/6. they're all in 3 gal. pots. then to the wilderness w/ 2 of them, when the weather gets a little warmer. then pulling clones from true females. im so happy. and i got 2 female ak's out of 4 seeds. im in love w/ their strains. tnr looks very interesting. peace.

ive got 7 spontanicas inside on 18/6. they're approx12 to 17 inches now. i should switch to 12/12 now then, and put them outside before the get too big. if i get a tall plant ill put in the ground. and try to pull clones asap. icant have any thing taller than 180cm indoors due to the ceiling/lights. they are fast growers too.

i plan on ordering some kc45 seeds. after reading your post i am ordering them today. im not a auto grower. but kc brains is the best seed bank in my opinion. 10 reg seeds for 14.95usd. for all their strains. that is the best deal anywhere.

Hey rev i suppose ur opinion has changed now about kc gear. which strain is the most hardy that u have grown and the most potent for a guerilla grower?

I'd mostly stick by what I said. A few white nonsprouting seeds is fine at $20 a pack. If they cost $80 like many breeders I'd be angry and ask for more seeds.
I noticed I posted that in August the last month made a big difference. Those scraggy Leda Unos filled in and yielded good smoke. The big one was a monster. They finished anywhere from Oct. 3 to Oct 20 with the big one about Oct. 8th.
I'd say the Spontanica was the hardiest and had the biggest yield. I doubt I'll grow it again because it was C+ smoke. The Leda that got big yielded just as much and the quality was up there. I don't have the time or the space to mess around with strains that don't have at least B+ potential. But if I was still a guerrilla I might think about it differently.
Where I live in the PNW I can afford to be snobby. I've always had access to strains from outdoor growers in northern California, Oregon, and Washington. So I have bug resistant, vigorous, and good yielding stock with great potency. If I lived in another part of the country or world I can see how Spontanica could be very useful.
I forgot about the weird crinkle leaf mutation. A couple never snapped out of it and were culled. But the big one grew out of it and got huge. Good chance I'll be getting more Leda seeds in the future.
