Razyr.,These old ler HD hoods really wern't designed for inline cooling. The hood had a small square vent on the end & on top that one could mount a small fan to draw air from the end vent & blow it out the top. I had to cut away a lot of the reflective panels for the 6 inch vents. This really cut back on the light foot print. Here are a couple pics of my vent/hack install. I ain't proud so.

the metal You see at the bottom is actually inside the hood & surely needs to be removed & that junction box could go as well. those obstructions "must" be severely slowing the airflow.

Oh yea, now I can see just how obstructed they are. Some new hoods are definitely in order, you do always have the option of making your own, those cool tube designs work great, but you would still need some sort of reflector. Best of luck on getting the last bits squared away, cause everything else looks great. Good luck, peace
