great thread!

great thread!

Love the pics! I do believe that this is the first time I have ever seen a pic that looked exactly like a problem that I was experiencing. Short note though, you recommend sodium hydroxide(naoh) for a ph adjuster in hydroponics-will this not cause an excess of sodium which in turn will lock out other nutes?
My personal recommendation would definitely be one of two things-Earth Juice ph-up(which is potassium carbonate k2co3), or to make your own potassium hydroxide lye(koh) - not sodium hydroxide lye. This is very easy to accomplish. first mix a lot of hardwood ashes with water. good hardwood ashes, not treated or painted wood. add ashes to water until a thick souplike consistency is reached, mix well and allow to stand overnight. strain through cheesecloth or some nylons etc. tada all natural organic ph-up! this can be used in liquid form or allowed to dry, but be careful! this stuff is pretty strong and can burn skin so imagine what it could do to your plants if overused. This tip comes straight from the Amish who use this type of lye to make homemade soap, and add ashes to their gardens every fall.
just a thought.

Big Ups for Stitch. :headbange
I agree with Rellikbuzz, this makes it for me. Now I only have to go to OG for the strain guide. Someone needs to start our own strain guide here at IC. Any one up for the task?

Hi Folks,

This is one of the better guides.
Superb, outstanding and very professional. Pic's are worth a thousand words. Thanks for taking the time to set this up.

Take care and stay safe,

Wow, I've seen tons of "diagnostic" threads like this one on other sites but none quite so informative and full of good photo's. My hat is off to you Stitch. You definately hit a homerun with this one. Peace. :canabis: TJ

Farmer John, I will admit that we have some great threads here by some of the finest growers, but we don't have a deep strain guide like the one at OG. That is all that I was referring to. Why does my suggestion make you laugh? It was only a thought.

when i started learning all this stuff i was helping people out in the sick plants fourm alot over on OG..... but i used there sick plants faqs quite often, only to find out i got to many conflicting information between the both of them.....

i honestly had no intention to start my own guide for i didnt know enough to do so...
then one day i just started writing down things that i wouldnt forget and then all of a sudden it just poped into my mind.... and as i went along i got better and better ideas how it would be laid out......

i added things that other guides did not do.. like the pics how to fix it and where at on the plant it starts.....

i seen far to many people have sick plants and not get there questions answered.......
and alot of people depend on there plants to live.... so me thinking of all this is what also made me decide to do this.....
i didnt do this alone. alot of good friends pitched in and helped me.... with the pictures some information.......

so that is why i dedicated this book to everyone! cause thats who it is for :)
all the growers who need it.. or just want to learn the knowledge of there plants

here are a few pics of my past grows...... i forgot to upload a few of my grow pics here.... all of them are mainly in my og gallery......

Hi stitch

just a point please ask before using the pic's from OG here
not that I mind but it's good to ask the people that put the work in if it's Ok
to use there material in your threads

I guess there may have been some problem over at OG on this but Stitch told me it is already posted at CW and that many find it helpful. Passing on learned information is what we do most of the time so I hope that any problems can be ironed out as far as this guide because we have a need for the information. Our users have a need for the information and if the information is accurate and useful then what can be the harm?

I appreciate the offer Stitch made to post this in my forum but this forum is more appropriate. Much I can learn here I am sure so thanks MyNameisStitch for your work. BOG

Great work on putting this together, Stich.
it's easily readable and more importantly, understandable.
It's Perfect for newbies and the less experienced growers,
yet still good enough for the experienced grower aswell.

Toke it easy and happy growing...

im going to be getting a few better pics of nutrient deficiencys and taking a few down.... some i dont think are good enough...... a few zinc pics those will be taken down and new ones put up as well as new magnesium and nitrogen deficiency.....
