Spice Bros - A11 F2

Apollo 11 is a awesome indoor hybrid that is Sativa dominant it has a high calyx/leaf ratio & finishes flowering in 7 weeks or less. Expect some variation among individuals. When selecting a keeper I would aim for the more short heavily branched plants with great amounts off dense, resinous bud sites Apollo 11 and Ice Princess are similarly frosty and potent with different highs & flavours. Apollo 11 can be considered "smart weed", very cerebral and thought provoking, a happy high and a citrus flavour.

Specifications: ~Flowering time should be around 45-50 days

these are from Spice Bros stock. i only popped 5 this time and got 3 that germed, but have run a pack before so my observations are based as much on that as this grow. three of five germed (previous run 8 of 10). during veg all three were very consistant, pretty quick and vigorous growth. growth pattern is definately sativa dom but very controllable and with plenty of branching. both the main stem and branches are flexible and can easily be bent to be trained. side growth also clones well. in early flower there were some issues with their mix, I was trying a less aerated mix with feck all perlite n it and they hated it. ended up with a single femme which limped through early flower before recovery kicked in and she started to flower hard. She is at 50 days and will come down in a few days. in the previous run I had 6 of 8 femmes and two types showed themselves, both were surprisingly consistant in flower structure and flowering time (and again surprisingly consistant to this one) but with a different level of stretch and secondary growth. The citrus flavours are sweet but pretty subtle, it is basically a citrus zing, kind of half lemon, half apple with a hint of sugary sweet.

I'll get dry shots when this is down and jarred. Previous experience with smoking it has been a cerebral, slightly sharp, social high so it will be interetsing to see if this follows.

She came down last night, a really lovely aroma fresh down, the citrus seems to have become more pronounced now she's down but this could just be down to handling her!

You can really see the C99 in those Apollo 11's. I grew out some GN '03 C99 and got a pheno that looked just like that one.

I know it's not Apollo 11, hope you don't mind. If it bothers you I'll take it down.

jedi, that's exactly what I was about to say! But I didn't know wether A11 actually had any C99 in her genes so I didn't want to look like an idiot lol

I have some GN 06? femmed C99s at 2 weeks flowering and 4 of them look very similar to your A11 in leaf structure and shape. The main thing that stands out to me is the big serrations in the long thin sativa like leaves...even the colouring in that late veg pic you posted looks exactly the same as some of my C99s.

I think A11 is C99 x Genius, they definately share a common lineage

Yeah, in my experience C99 is very obvious in crosses. I've grown A11, FMS Grapefruit and Killa Queen, and they all are very "cindy-like"

ola jediknight, i can totally see the resemblance, in both flower and leaf structure to be honest. i want to grow some C99 but am having trouble sourcing any from over the counter retail. i'll have to wait to get out to the dam and pick up some of wallyducks. anyone else do decent C99 fxs? great pics man. thanks for sharing. :smile:

hey gangabiss, as alpha correctly says A11 is genius x c99 where genius is one of the original 3 outstanding plants bros grimm found in a bag of jack herer from sensi smile and C99 is essentially a cubed version of sister Princess.

i think these are Mr Souls words -

P.50 = Princess/(ShivaSkunk/Princess'Brother)
P.75 = Princess/P.50
Cinderella 88 = Princess/P.75
Cinderella 99 = Princess/Cinderella 88
Each generation exhibited a MAJOR jump in potency: P.50 was rather mellow, P.75 has a well-balanced body/mind high with a citrus flavour, Cinderella 88 is cerebral & paralyzing with a tropical fruit flavour, and Cinderella 99 is "TRIP WEED" with more of the fruity flavour and speedy effect from Princess

sawaat dii YBC, have you grown out the C99, how do the two (a11 and c99) compare? I've smoked a friends c99 but not grown it.
