Yes very big Aligators, ive seen ten foot bulls.
I dont worry much about them, only during the rut season (mating season).
I do worry about Cottonmouth snakes which are very deadly. They like to hide in the trees and swoop down unanounced. I hate it because by nature I am always looking down and not looking up when.
Also the deadly Moccasin,Rattler and Coral snakes are common in this area. Gotta be careful growing in these woods. But its worth having four seasons of the year to grow outdoors I suppose.

It must be a pleasure to grow in a hidden tropical island :) Pure sativas and sativa dominant strains are the best choices, indicas would easily mold.

Best wishes and be careful with snakes!

Thank you Dubi and everyone.
I picked up this old Cambodian hybrid in the early eighties.
The Pale color and Alligator stripping on the leaves is a natural mutation.
It finishes very pale lime golden green. It is very reinous and delicious. It is a tad bit tricky to grow but the finished product is worthit.

This Congo sustained serious Termite damage but it is holding on and will still produce a nice round.
The plant was topped in June to four main branches which are spread out on the right and left.

Some others from a differnt spot, that because of inaccesiblity it only gets checked three times during the summer.

These two Johny Blaze (neviles haze\blueberry) females were left for dead three months back and had not been checked since. To my surprise the termite attack they endured did not kill then.

great thread four seasons.. my wife and I caught some shows down in Florida in the spring and did some hiking in the glades, I kept thinking about what a sweet spot they would be for sat's and now you have proved me right!was wondering if you could fill us in on the four growing seasons you have down there? What months are they and do you get better quality plants in certain seasons? How do the sativa's respond the seasons when they must finish under increasing daylengths? I am from above 40 N and never understood when Hawaiian grower's talked about 4 seasons and never heard it from florida until reading your posts.Great sativa research thread also..interesting to see some uzbeki pics from way back.

Thanks so much for posting all these wonderful photos, four seasons. The emerald sativas are looking good, and along with the sunny outdoor scenery, it's almost like taking a trip south to your jungle garden. What can I say, I'm subbed :D

Glad to see that the Neem/DE combo was effective. I've been doing the same as a preventive measure in my garden. Cover the soil, then rub the Neen/DE up the trunk into lower branches as they grow. Simple solution, as long I keep applying the Neem and DE. I've had it fairly easy though - no termite attacks up here in the north country, so far ...

Here's hoping that all goes well with you.

Many peaceful thanks to everyone. Lots of good people on Ace forum.
My wife and I took these pictures yesterday after a huge rainstorm. She harvested a few F13 clones while doing our morning routine.

Natrone, I plant in the swamps and the small islands of highground surrounded by the swampy land around our home.
I usually prep my holes and containers at least six months in advance of planting. These holes and containers are scattered among blackberry and other native fauna.
The top foot of humus rich soil is peeled back and carefully placed aside. Below this level the clay is discarded by tossing in all directions, scattering it so not to leave obvious piles behind.
Once the hole is dug out I backfill with the topsoil I placed aside along with soil less mix, compost, gaunos, bone meal, green sand, kelp meal, Endo-ecto microrihzia and lime.

I am very humbled by the compliments.
To be honest what I am doing in my little neck of the jungle is pale compared to what good people are doing with the sacred plant in Cali and Europe.

Im worried that the heavy rains are leaching my soils of needed nutes.
The dreaded mould is not bad yet, I hope the rains starts to let up soon.
