Lots of rain and strong winds so far in the capital city..... Amazingly, I still have power, cable/internet. But I did drop my damn cell phone and lost the screen on it, so I can't communicate with folks.... Usually after one of these storms, texting is the only way to communicate.

Lights went out here from 9am to 3pm the next day. Sucked because it was so hard to sleep. I just hoped my babies didn't flood.

My mother's been without power for 3 1/2 days now, and that's in NOLA proper, so I'm sure things are much worse W of there.
