Damn. It seems that the tornado hit a high school in Alabama. 8 kids are confirmed dead, many missing. Its kinda ironic that the very place they gathered to survive the tornado, is where it hit.

You know spring's coming in the South when you have a FireFox window dedicated to a live Nexrad Doppler feed.
I watched it like a hawk today, and fortunately, we didn't get hit too bad. Amazingly, since areas to the west, south, north AND east all got hit pretty good. No tornados, fortunately.
I did watch the line moving across the Northern Mississippi Tupelo area into the Northern Alabama Huntsville area, and felt a twinge, because they were getting pounded.

The new tornado alley ... they track from Texas up through Arkansas hit Tennessee and Miss and head east. The storms have only begun for the Southeast. I both hate and love this time of year around here.
