Everyone that tries my sour kush is amazed when I tell them what it is.. great looking bud ur garden
Soooo dank, very nice you got skills bro ! Are those plant from some lately bought seeds or some older ones ? i heard that older RP seedpacks do have some better phenos and less hermies....i think i will give them a try soon on some OG#18 or Kosher
I got the seeds this year. The first time I grew them, I found early male flowers on 2 and they were culled. I ended up finding male flowers on several plants but will come back to this.
I took cuttings of the fastest finisher and the strongest smelling. The cuttings from those plants are in the photos and gallery above.
The most recent pics are of the strongest smelling and longest flowering pheno. I am not going to run ths one again. While it is ridiculously dank, the other cut is just as dankl and the slightly more pungent aroma isn't worth the extra weeks.
They stretch like a bastard. I flowered these from cuttings . The largest two had been rooted and grown out for a week while the others caught up. They were still all under twelve inches tall when they went into flower. The earliest rooted cuts ended up at around three feet with long and thin branches. The flowers are just piles of sticky, glistening calyxes that end up rock hard and dense when dry. Feels like you are holding coins.
The smell can be tear inducing to the point of liability.
About the "hermie" issues: I believe they were a result of lazy environmental control on my part. I knew things werent optimal. Light leaks, inadequate ventilation, heat and things like that. Things that I could have fixed but wasn't having major problems aside from the occasional dozen seeds or so.
I fixed a few things and switched to an auto watering system (Troph Blumats). This also happens to be the perfect weather to be growing indoors with no AC. These basically grew themselves. I plucked fan leaves off periodically throughout but the calyx to leaf ratio is high and they are a breeze to trim.
No male flowers. Found one "naner" on a plant that had flowered 10 weeks. No seeds so far.
FYI I do happen to be growing out 5 seeds produced from self-pollination during the first run. Wanted to get something going as well as have a backup plan. I took cuttings a couple weeks into flowering and after taking forever to root, they went through the revegging process. I was finally able to cuttings the other day.
This is my third run with this strain. The second time was a flop due to the heat. The end result was potent and stunk but airy and leafy. Summer time makes it tough with no AC and I still hadn't gotten the hang of timing things to be ready for the stretch.
I know that I still haven't seen all of her potential. Not the easiest plant but worth it if you are willing.
If you like BHO, this stuff makes for amazing dabs- and lots of them.
