Sour Diesel vs OG vs Chem since all are different

you need to run your sours 2 weeks longer. Seems to me the farther away from the source you go the more weeks of the flowering time that comes off. Its a big reason why it died out in Colorado when shit went more legit no one wanted to put the effort in growing sour anymore.

There is absolute truth in that KiefSweat the only place i run them is in the lightdep (blackbox) and i damn sure ain't pulling covers for no 11 weeks - and fickle is the bitch u can't touch outdoors until november with not enough to show for it on the scale or wallet - the plant hates less than 12 hours of light during the finish, it's a trimmers nightmare and i could go on and on.. I have heard this from others and indeed it is true it gets way better late... but still,, when somebody asks me what is better i default to all parameters in not only mine but others situations - from the grow to the pipe to the paycheck. Chimminy chang shabang whiskers 12 weeks is too close to haze and sour never gunna send u runnin to hide in the closet.. Still, it will be the hash king for a long time to come let this be known.

They are all good plants,, all around i like TK the best, i'd prefer to smoke a top quality and relatively fresh Chem 4, and sour d, in spite of it's shortcomings i see as the highest over all worth in the long term,,, but u wont catch me growing it much hehehe?

My vote shouldnt count. I cant even consider the other options.

I got to see some legit chems at the topdawg booth at htcc. But that is all the experience I have. Never sampled a legit og or a legit chem and I cant even be sure the I have smoked the ecsd.

One thing to note though is that when I went to the dispensary in Denver to sample what they had labeled "sour diesel", I was alarmed when the bud tender opened the jar and the smell didnt fill the small room we were in. Where I am from that would have been considered "that baby sour". I am pretty sure the fire that is around here is the ecsd.

I will keep hunting for the fire and vote when I try og, and chems also.

Yes Elmer I am sure Jorge and Jim Rendon as well as many others can show record of me as well as many others learning my quotes on the subject of Sour D outdoor (at least north or south of horse latitudes),,,,, the hard way.. Were you under the impression that i just yanked the opinion out of the blue? Because that is not the case,,, i speak from a great deal of experience.

Chem, OG and SD all have unique terpene profiles, and are really very different plants. The DNA will tell us their kinship soon enough...

A friend of mine pointed out they have a common terpene many of these greasy buds, still,,, there is lots of splainin' to do.. It does not all seem to wash,,, Diesel the poorest of them by feel seems to do better than the rest, with regards to all i have ever encountered in the realm of advanced processing.? things that make me go hmmmm..

A friend of yours huh... lol.... they have a very similar terpene complement, the ratios between them however are very different. Eitherway, we couldn't have done the comparisons without your help collecting the genes, and you know this.

Tom, do think it may have something to do with the maturity of the trichome? In general i find sativa dominant resin when early to act a certain way. Sours tend to have a very unique color when made into oil too, i guess skunks are similar but its very bright orange color extract, ogs tend to be a lot more maroon.

I think for sure there is something to that Kiefsweat,,,, but beyond that,, like where Elmer pointed out i have grown in 4-6 hour sun gardens? I am not talking about sun dear sirs,,, I am talking about light,,, and light in November at my latitude is down near 10 hours....... Rob Clarke many decades ago pointed out the importance of this and i absolutely concur. The amount of light to alter this paradigm can be measured in foot-candles, not necessarily need be measured in full sun... Most of the indoor bred varieties are crap outdoor for this singular reason alone, in my opinion. Rare is the plant that can reach it's potential numb to these realities,,, this is why plants like bluedream and salmon creek come around so infrequently..

It is also one of the reasons why the future of the highest grade cannabis lies in light dep (blackbox) at altitude.. You are just never gunna beat high summer sun cutting through the environment at steep angles it's just as blue and as powerful as the spectrum will ever reach.

What good is maturity if potential is on the complete wane during the process?

Of course Rob's observations might be construed as neophyte at the time it was something along the lines of cannabis producing twice the thc at 12 hours of light than that of 10 hours of light,,,,,, but fuck man,,, that was damn near 40 years ago?
