sour diesel sativa?

Hi,

In my opinion Sour Diesel is a sativa dom. Some of my phenos are really showing a sativa bud structure with calyx building upon calyx...

from the MSS I've seen growing, and the buds I've smoked, I've no problem believing that it is in the SourD... I had a plant from the SDv3s I grew that looked alot like the mss grow I saw... Once again just my opinion, as I've rarely smoked mss and more rarely seen it grow... and only a sample of the dnl once(if I remember correctly, those guys had me fairly high)...

DNL is a strain that comes from a cross with seeds that were found in a bag of Skunk scored at the 90 RFK Dead shows. A female RFK was crossed with some kind of Hawaiian/NL cross, exact breeding unknown

Wow great thread ..

I can tell you back in 90 MSS and Bubblegum were all you could get here :chin: think I gave my old local away :bat: I read all about the dead and what not all true I'm sure..but I can't see any MSS , as it was pure kush looking..

Thats not to say it's not, because I'm sure it's in the mix.. My question is what gives it the Sour and what Haze or sativa got crossed to it?

cool guys ... rudedude .... i haven't grown any of the dawgs yet .... just the sour clone i was given so i only speculated that (100%indica part) to start things off from the top o' me head what i remember back in the days of pbud and the dawgs was a lot of strong skunks and afghanis(anyone seen seattle blue? heee hee ) .anyway , props to you for being here yer dawgs r nice ... thanks for the input ...... can't wait to see some straight orig dawg clones someday ..... grown out just to see that part of the influence in its more original form . like the 91 ....

hey stoned silly , thanks , i thought it would arouse some interest ...it even brought out some folk i didn't think would show ... thanks for the info JJ ! i was lately really wonderin what the DNL was ..... i knew it was part skunk of the 80s- didn't know about the hawaii though ... yeah lotsa stuff crossed to NL back then too .

right on may the good times roll !!
oh yeah anyone on the mutant leaf ?

A certain ratio of each.....

But more like skunk cuz it smells of a stinker at flower...

A sativa plant wont smell as much cuz the buds are small and potent

Skunk smell (Lemon and diesel),sativa growth stucture with fatter buds..pictures looking the same all around..An IBL it is..Most females would hit the 5 foot mark

Hope the Thread starter is not thinking to find 2 full flatout 2 different pheno across the spectrum...full indica and full sativa

I tried some... its killer ...Yummy

this first plant was given to me and called ECSD. more sweet and sour candied diesel aromas and tastes. never did i get a skunk aroma from this plant.. was even a daggo red wine aroma when first crackin the jar.

same plant done under a 1000W

this plant i just recently aquired, strong Skunky diesel aroma, very dank. cures to a sour aroma and taste. have two runs , a bush and a single cola. quite a bit of difference between the two.

hey stoned silly ... i agree that plant on the left in the sour diesel pic does indeed look like the original around the 90s for sure nice find ! right on !

hey tnt , not really trying to find a broad spectum of variation ..... just wonderin what people think of the sour diesel and i guess what slight variations there are in the projects involving sour diesel .just peoples relative experience whether smokin or growin '

hey cedarberry .... the jolly rancher diesel sounds like (i think) the REEFERMANS sour diesel haven't grown it or seen it but did hear about it .... not sure of the lineage though.( or its a diesel hybrid ) the second plant looks similar to the sour diesel that REZ's line is created from . that is a nice find also .

Stoned silly,

Looks alot like the original from back in the 90's.

Nice find.

Best,

Yes that 1 is my favorite to. That's the little lady I used for the next round of seeds. The 2 males had the same structure as her with tons of flowers. :woohoo:

i was given some SD cuttings from a friend. He doesnt know the origins but I think it may be soma? The sample he gave me was very light green, and the taste was amazing but cant describe it. I have two in my flower area now but they have only been there 2 weeks. Here is pic of the other still in veg.

wow dan that looks good . i don't know about the soma origins with sour diesel . i think he had a product called NYC diesel . i'm not sure if the soma diesel is really diesel . i would love to grow some out . i heard that is was different from the real deal NYC diesel . which is still coveted by those who have had it .

anyone grown out Soma's ? is it NYC diesel ? is it similar ? where the heck is REZDOG ? he used it in the DSD i think . i did for some strange reason end up with double diesel once to smoke when a friend had it . i don't know if it was REZZY's though . i liked it but not as much as the sour .

I've grown Somas NYCD out. Circ:02/03
Looks just like the plant pictured above. Broad leaves, the high was very clear, alittle too clear for me, the taste was exceptional. I passed along my mother tho. I still have beans from that pack and will be looking for a male to put to the Sour D to make my own DSD for my family.
Is it similar to Sour? No. Reason Im gonna do the DSD is I read awhile back that one of the guys that gets the Daywrecker said they're similarities. I want the originals too... Haven't seen any - online people Im friends with are weird about those so Im gonna try to find my own and circumvent the whole situation to the best of my ability. Which is really why I grow in the first place.
Also grown Spellbound from Dman (Sour Diesel X Williams Wonder) and have Rezs SSSDH and TFD as well as the clone ECSD.
All the best,
RO
